I'm quite satisfied with the junior development in our club.
No need to chase outsiders (murray bridge ites) $$$$$. yeah i know he grew up with storm boy at goolwa! sorry. i guess!

same with leeroy

good luck with finals rb your juniors still in aren't they
(great junior development without tiny)

And whats the problem u all have with Goolwa anyway i hear its the verble spits some of you get and if thats the case harden up as every time i have played against other clubs what we say is nothing to the crap other clubs go on about and i believe it is only the couple of younger guys who say crap anyway and the biggest sledger is Evans and you all cant stand him by the sounds of it but 4 out of the 8 clubs all have talks with him to get him to play for them even offering money wow you all change your views on a guy if he is playing for u dont you

haha!! the big bull bites!! i personally dont have a problem with andy at all, played with him and against him and i think its funny when he loses his shit, its good though - shows how passionate he is!! and if he decided to leave i'd love him to come play with us, you'd be silly not to!!

also you make it sound like having juniors play down at southern and come back to play senior cricket at their home club is a bad thing??? can you clarify what you mean by this?? if they are good enough to play down at southern then i dont think we should discourage them!!

Unbelivable performance at the Goolwa Oval today. Compass B Grade embarrassed McLarens by notching 380 odd runs. Was not there for the whole game but i counted 17 dropped catches by Mclarens. Tons from a couple of compass lads who deservadly got standing ovations was pure entertainment. One of the most entertaining days i have had a the cricket.

Go the Pongy boys - Will Rog Trevillians crutching shears make an appearance again if they win....

A bit of experience in that Pongy side who know how to win GFsm but Compass will be tough

where is the game being played, Goolwa??

Thanks for letting me know where teh game is boys

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Compass to good 4 pongy in the A's. Who got runs for compass, not that they were chasing a big score.

so anyone know results from GF's on the weekend?? Willunga beat enc bay in the 16's prelim also on the weekend, so the GF's this weekend are:

A GRADE
Willunga V Mt Compass

16's
Aldinga V Willunga

Both should be a real showcase of some of the talent the GSCA has to offer, should be a cracker weekend of GF action!!!

congrats to those boys from compass on their great B grade premiership win.
what an awsome display of cricket by them.
Three of their batsmen took the game away from Mclarens with great stroke play and some lusty hitting, with two of them making tonnes in a gf. Hats off to you lads and all the best for your futures.
Mclarens just seemed to argue and fight with each other for the entire time they were in the field. dont know what that was all about.

no chance of yank putting in an a grade, putland to come off the long run in the c2 division. would be good to watch. would test out the paddle pop lion's forward defence.

So what are peoples thoughts about this weekend's grand final? Were Willunga & Mt Compass the best two teams all year? Who do people think will win? Who are key players for both sides?

the match will rest on the willunga bowling performance. if nash, connor, braidwood and dizzy get away its game over. my tip is compass. by a reasonable distance.

would liked to have seen compass V vale again this year. compass do owe them 2 so would have been a good chance to get one back.

yes i agree, Compass have a much stronger batting line up but Willunga have the stronger bowling line up, i saw they bowled compass out for 105 in that first final. I think it will be a very close match. I believe whoever handles the pressure the best will win the game, will the young Willunga players be able to deal with the pressure against a much more experienced, especially when it comes to finals, Mt Compass side. If Mt Compass lost, it would be there 3rd loss of a grand final in a row, that would have to be a major motivating factor you would think.

My prediction is it will be a tight game dominated by the bowl! Mt Compass to break the recent grand final hoodoo and get up!!
Good luck lads, the two most consistent sides this year got there, it wuldve been good to go for three in a row however just werent good enough!!

I'm saying that compass will follow there b grade counterparts and take down a very shakey willunga out fit.

heard there may be something in compass selection line up that might raise an eye brow or two.

willunga will lose a couple of players on sun due to work possibly.
replacement players in gf is a hairy thing. could make or break.

toss is everything in this case.

looking forward to it.
