thats it bazza!

he may win it but doesnt mean he is in the best eleven, just like rogers winning the FRanger medal and being named 12th man in the side of the year...

and who got dropped? no changes for our side bazza ;)

ICC's first season they wanted section 2 or 3 and got 5.

I think the quotient at the end of the season was above 3.

Didnt you guys try to get in the Southern association, I remember Strengy telling me something about it.

Yes, the SCA was approached but the president at the time said rather arrogantly "Why should we let you join our competition" .

After that it was always going to be the A&SCA.

Since then other presidents have approached them about joining the SCA but the damage was done.

My 2008/09 side:

1. Brendan McCormack (Sheidow)
2. Jake Whenan (Western Youth)
3. David Sampson (ICC Sharks)
4. Rusty Curyer (vc) (Keswick)
5. Robert Hopkins (c) (Western Youth)
6. Greg Pritchard (Plympton)
7. Ben McCormack (wk) (Western Youth)
8. Daniel Rowe (Glenelg ANA)
9. Matthew Tonkes (ICC Sharks)
10. Adam Berry (ICC Sharks)
11. Mark O'Malley (Glenelg ANA)

12th Man: Bharat Roocke (Morphy Parks) 36 wickets at 5.42 SR of 14.69 (88.1 overs bowled econ of 2.21) batting: 11 games, 7 innings, 4 not outs, 1 not out, best score of 100* and 168 runs at 56.

To me thats a good year and he is playing in there highest grade and is doing this all as captain.

Honorable mention to Justin Smoker from Mitchell Park for his efforts with the ball.

So there is a quick bowling line up of O'Malley, Rowe, Tonkes, Hopkins, Sambo with Pritchard and CUryer bowling meds, and Calderbank thoroughly deserving the slow bowling spot.
Sambo Hopkins and Curyer, all have wickets and bowl, but there in because of there batting and there bowling is just helpful. Pritchard has been plymptons standout and his all round year has got him his spot.

That would be my side with Ford missing out to McCormack only because of where they would bat in this side. Berry deserves the spinners spot becuase despite taking a good amount of wickets, 23 i think, and has also been good with the bat and adds to what is a very strong tail.

how can ford miss out and mccormack get the gig as keeper? the only reason i had mccormack keeping is because i think it would be easier having the opening bat fielding but think mccormack should be in at 7. berry in my view with 25 wickets, and 236 at 26. calderbank deserves the spot and cant drop ford for wat he has done, and wat berry has done!!!

and for the bloke laughing at calderbank, he has taken 31 wickets at 11.13 and an economy rate of 2.34! thats a cracking year!

i'm with shoe boy on this one. it's a blight on the competition.

My predictions for the weekend.

Div 1
ICC v Sheidow - would not be suprised if they get up
Ramblers v WYC - obviously gotta pick us

Div 2
Morphy Parks v Warradale - Morphys jsut way too good i would think
Plympton v Keswick - Proven record in finals

Div 3
Belair v Southern - real tight one
ICC v Morphy Parks - another tight one. any of these 4 can win it.

Div 4
Morphy Park v Sheidow - An easy win
Keswick v North Haven - battle between Doubleday and Martin (or however u spell there names)

Div 5
Clapham v MItchell Park - cant see them losing
North Haven v Belair - close game but to win away, batters will decide??

Div 6
Sheidow v Keswick - sheidow way too good
MItchell park v coromandel - coro to inconsistent, mitchell park to have a good day

Maybe get 1/12, just hope its the right one ;)

Div 1
ICC v Sheidow
Ramblers v WYC

Div 2
Morphy Parks v Warradale
Plympton v Keswick

Div 3
Belair v Southern
ICC v Morphy Parks

Div 4
Morphy Park v Sheidow
Keswick v North Haven

Div 5
Clapham v Mitchell Park
North Haven v Belair

Div 6
Sheidow v Keswick
Mitchell park v Coromandel

These are my tips.
Definate big showdown in Sect4 between Doubleday and the Martin brothers. Would love to watch, but I have my own final to win.

I think our (NH-Section5) experience against Belair earlier in the year will put us in good stead to overcome them this time around. Also us having a slighty stronger batting lineup helps.

Thunder storms coming in about 5am and sticking around for the day, not a good day to play cricket tomorrow, Sunday not much better,

But your forecast would be for a fine day if you were in finals?

Have been contaced by a disgruntled Justin Calderbank. Apparently it's not a blight on the competition that he's taken so many wickets, just a blight on the batsmen he's got out.

Section 1

Ramblers all out 95 and WYC 3 for 104 ish when the ramblers conceded. So we will have to see whether it is the sharks or sheidow who we will play next week.

We were very good at all parts of the game, the catch I dropped. We played great finals cricket and it was too good for the ramblers boys this time around :)

Conceded in 1 day? Is that allowed? Don't you have to play till tea of the 2nd day or something?

our bowlers bowled extremely well today but were not back up in the field, dropped sambo on 2 and 3 (one by yours truly absolute sitter) and bowen on 20 both went on to make 60 odd and 81 respectivly

we had ledgard run out without facing a ball in the 1st over and berry was not far behind... 2/10 then 3/30 when bucky got out but sambo and bowen put on a 100+ partnership... if we held catches could have had em 5/60 but thats cricket

hopefully myself and macca can get us off to a good start!

our sec 4 team rolled morphy park for 50 odd and past it 3 down, j. crichton 7/15

our sec 6 team made 3/370 against keswick, roper 211 and fealy 100 odd
