FFS, you moan more than the unemployed ... As I said elsewhere, yes Norwood have been done and that means GUILTY - Noone is denying that, but now that it's done and dusted is there any chance you can stop 5 years worth of whinging? When this one runs out of Legs (pardon the pun) it will no doubt be about how poor Westies get raped and pillaged by Andy D and co. when noone else does .... Again ...[/quote]dash61 wrote:

No they don't get paid (money changes hands) but each AFL listed player has a nominated figure for each SANFL game that they play attributed agaisnt the salary cap. Not sure of teh exact amount but Dash's figures aren't wide of the mark

the source is good too!
I'll think you'll find the actual footy club is paying a fraction of that figure but they pay above award wages for collecting glasses and kitchen hands for certain people at certain licensed establishments....

Assuming you are pointing at North then you are perpetuating another "urban" myth. There is only one player (who is not high profile either) working at the Northern Tavern and none at Grand North.

Yeah rediculous. SANFL clubs have no control on how many games AFL players play yet when they do play it counts in the cap. Could not have been easy for Norwood as they had a heap of these in and out of the team. All that considered it doesnt look good with this years recruits.
I'm very disappointed we breached the cap but at least this year the amount of AFL listed players is a lot less.
Bown 18 games, Dawes 19 games, Culpitt 9 games, Bartemucci 13 games, McDonnell 12 games, DeJongh 0 games must have been on very hefty pay packets ;)

With a nominal fee of about $500 counting against the salary cap for every game played by an AFL-listed player, that is hardly going to be the reason you exceeded the cap by $30,000.
