hearts on fire wrote:For the last month, my knee has been swollen.
I have been playing sport regularly and have been pretty hard on it.
I have tried icing it with cold packs, using Nurofen Tablets and using Voltaren Tablets.
It just won't go down, but after i ice it, i get all bruising around the back of the knee. (i think its from putting the ice pack straight onto skin without putting a towel on under it)
Anyone have any ideas or recovery procedures you would recommend?

All depends on who you see mate because most have different opinions. Swelling occurs to protect your knee, so you've done some sort of internal damage to it. Hopefully it's nothing too serious mate.
Ice baths are the best to reduce swelling after training and games.

Drop Bear wrote:Yeah you might want to get a surgeon to check it out.
An MRI scan will tell you if there's any internal damage. Problem is it costs about $150.
PS. John Bon Jovi is spelt Jon Bon Jovi.
