My mail is Waite is a certain starter for the blues. Sayers not 100%
Also was told the Bears have picked up 4-5 handy players (sorry no names) to go with Biddle.

Sayers not 100%?? Carrying an injury?

With the Bears and Tailem picking up players this should be the most even comp for quite a few years.

I think Imps will have to start favourites, although Ramblers are the unknown at this stage.

Ramblers Outs

Marchetti atleast 3/4 of the year if not all of it
Morris
Button
Dougall
Koch
Ryan Paech
Wombat Matthews
Bretag hasn't trained apparently

They will still be Top 3-5 but not the team they were last year.

I would hardly say 6 goals is a convincing win in a trial game. From all reports tailem had about 11/12 of their A Graders out with 6/7 still missing from the PHOS trial on the weekend. Dent has coached a SAAFL Div 2 flag prior to Tailem so give the bloke some credit. Has some good cattle this year including a couple of big blokes so i can't wait to see how they go.

Not saying the recruits that Tailem have aren good players just wondering if Dent can coach them to play together as a team. From the accounts of the game it seems Strath had more of the play and were able to use the ball more effectively.
Dent coached Edwardstown and won them a flag but he almost sent the club broke doing it hope the same doesnt happen at Tailem most of those recruits havent come to the club to play for free

I can't do that Goldy, that would spoil all the fun and aftershock when it happens. I reckon it will register about 8 on the Richter scale.

Edwardstown have a history of sending themselves broke they wouldn't need Dentys help.

Half Back you better get your facts right!! before you talk shit. I think if you do your home work and speak to anyone at Edwardstown you might just fine out that Dent did a lot of the fun raising himself.

Not Tyson Matthew his older brother now playing for Imperials. How come you say Seyers is not 100%? Waite trained at imps last week so will be interesting to see if he lines up in a couple of weeks.

So Edwardstown would be BROKE if he didnt do any fund raising himself? What fund raising has he done for Tailem?

I thought he was appointed as coach not Fund Raising organiser. It's not his job to raise money that's why you have a committee and people responsible for fundraising....but in saying that he organised a sportman's night 2 years ago with Doug Hawkins which was a major success. What's your issue with dent Half Back.

I got a little sneek of the A grade trial yestrerday between Flagstaff hill an Imperials, it was a very good skill level game for a trial, Imperials came out victors an they had some VERY handy players playing, a big at least 6.4 bloke up foward, Jamie Honnor, then Tyson Waite running all day thru centre, they will be a team that people should be scared of this yr yesterday they had 4 KEY footballers out in Puckridge, Boyd Kenny, Zeb Kenny and Seyers.

I havent seen Imperials play clean footy like this for a few yrs now the scoreboard said it all. 13goals 4behinds in a very windy hot day

Very difficult to predict how the teams may finish up at the end of the year but I thought i'd try:

IMPS - recruited very well, excellent depth
MANNUM - great depth, good recruits
RAMBLERS - lost some class but will definitely be thereabouts at the end of the season
JERVOIS - some key losses, but have picked up some handy replacements, depth could be a problem if they suffer injuries to key players though
TAILEM/MYPO - I can't actually split these clubs at least at this stage, either club could grab 5th spot
MENINGIE - have picked up a few recruits but coming off a winless season hard to predict with any certainty that they'll move off the bottom of the ladder.

Is it true Sam Mahoney has entered the Fat Man Club?
Has touched the scales over 100kgs.
I hear his nickname is Plugger now & is lining up at full forward!
He needs to get rid of his sponsorship with Mcdonalds & get one with Subway! ;) =))
