I reckon they'll finish top 3.

What about Matt Conelly? Also retired??

They will be improved the Roos. Had there highs and lows last year. I'm still not too sure they'll finish top three, but will be in the hunt with Imps, Tailem, Jervois and Ramblers.

What's with Dalwood though? Neglecting to put Warnest in Mannum's top 3? He had Quinn, Harte and Wakefleid. Like how he didn't put Kartinyeri in Tailem's top 3 and opted with Hogarth, Lynch and Raidis.

What I look forward to is the list of gains and losses each club has the Standard usually does prior to the season. That gives you a good idea of how clubs lists have changed.

Where did he write that(about the teams top players)? I've only Warnest play a couple of times but he'd be in my top few in the league.

Heard the same rumours about the 2 Meningie guys. Great news for them!!!
As for Warnest- very talented player, but when has he stood up against the better sides? Believes his own hype alittle too much.
Connelly- has he retired or not? Most say yes, unless the paper got it wrong hes still going to play.

Mannum definately ones to watch.

Roger Campbell i think his name is. Not sure where he played last year. I also hear Christian Aspel will be at Tailem??

We had a Roger Campbell at Fitzroy last 2 years (on & off), & i'll asume it's the same one.
Has very lethal timing with the hip n shoulder- effortless but deadly.
Never reached his potential imo, the person who unlocks his talent is a genius....

As well as this Panda and the CHF from last year (can't remember his name) also are playing for Karoonda. This would leave a huge hole in Mypo's side.

that's very interesting....

^^ I've heard there's apparently no truth in that rumour. Both were out at training last week with Mypo.

I went out to watch Tailem Bend's trail match on Saturday. Very impressed with what I saw.

They played Phos, a Div 2 side and were rather competitive, in pretty awful weather.

Raidis played well, gathering a few touches and Hogarth is a goer. Was in everything. Impressed by Lynch, Vickers and Aspel. As well as young Linde.

And from what I can gather, Tailem played pretty well without the likes of Muffy Kartinyeri, Shane Comer, Adam Robertson, Brad Bell, Michael Thomas, new bloke O'Brien and Jason Marks- who were all unavalible to play.

The boys, understrengthed, played pretty well and only lost by about 5 goals to quality opposition. Only a trial, but some good signs.

That sums it up pretty well Drama I reckon both clubs got what they needed out of it with no or minimal injuries. An enjoyable day other than the wind that seemed to get stronger and colder as the day went on. But a warming beer or 2 and everything was good again.
