If they do, understandable after what I saw at last year's GF.
Brilliant.
Helped by some good service into the forward lines though.

Hollywood is Chris Philby. Dan Wohling was BOG in in the Grad Final.
Am led to believe he is not returning and last i heard was interested in playing at Nuriootpa in the BL&G with Shaun Ribbons.
Either way I'm pretty sure you will find he is no longer going to be playing in the Mallee. One footballer, along with Rodney Maynard that Lameroo will certainly miss.

Ahhh apologies Dreamer, thanks for the clarification. Both those guys were fantastic in the GF last year.

Any more news from the Mallee?

Murrayville's Adelaide-based players will be having a run together tonight followed by a meeting with coach Drew Crane and president Matthew "Plug" Parker.

i think karoonda have settled the list and its looking promesing

players like, reece jordan and his brother, ryan pake, luke hocking, corey knight, the jackson brothers, eli kotch, lucas nuemann, reece boughan brodie chinner, barrat, twiggy, huey, jacob neary and mark burnett and plenty more to name, looking like a real solid line up this year

Thats not a bad line up, i heard barrat might have cold feet so to speak and has been training with a hills club with one of his mates and is enjoying up there with him!

no cold feet just wants extra run with club enviro, as marion arent training on thursday nights yet. he is signed and contracted to karoonda this year!
would be good of him to join the adelaide based players at seacliff though, so he starts to build teamsmanship, and that he wont feel like the BLACK SHEEP of the bunch come season start!!!!!!!!!!!

easy tiger... if we've learnt anything over the last few years its that contracts can be voided if they go to the SANFL. i believe that the contract he signed had a get out clause that allowed him to leave if he decided he didnt want to play before the mid season player clearance deadline....

the clause states if both parties agree the cotract can be void at anytime!

The Mallee can lay claim to possibly the two worst bitumen roads in the state.

Pinnaroo to Loxton road is utterly dreadful while the Karoonda to Murray Bridge road is probably worse. Lol. Disgraceful

Agreed SS. They are both shocking.
Nothing like a roller coaster ride in your car.
Having said that, at least it keeps you awake on the way to Adelaide.

There is no possible way you could fall asleep on either of those roads.

I'm told they're better than what they used to be

Agreed. Both terrible roads.

I've been hearing a few rumours that Lameroo may lose some of their players that were travelling from Adelaide last year.

It brings up the question, if these rumours are true, will Rocket pull on the boots again this year?

Talking to Pinnaroo coach Jeff Nickolls last week, reckoned it was a strange move to appoint the coach they have and have Maynard as assistant/runner.

He reckoned when the chips are down and their backs are against the wall, the players will be turning to Rocket ahead of anyone else.

And on the Maynard playing again, Nickolls' wife Jill said she had to plant flowers in Jeff's boots to stop him coming out of retirement again. Maynard's missus might want to take that one up.

With that as an idea, you would probably have five other sides lining up to put plants in Rockets boots! Would have to agree that he will be the man that Lameroo look to when the shit goes down. And i mean when, not if.
