how is glenunga looking? have heard their trainings have been ramping up nicely in tune for rd 1. shane fox is a possibility to join good mate brad thompson out there, would be an extremely handy pick up. WAFL experience (albeit limited due to injury) in the past few years and is in tip top shape. would compliment brad thompson silky skills in the midfield. would carve up this medicore div 6 league.

Thats good news for Glenunga, hopefully they have some more good pick ups, cause they will need a few quallity players to lift them up into he finals. Heard that Harvey from CLG has done his ankle and will miss about 4 weeks (not sure if it was a footy related injury), will he be ok for rd 1?? Also heard the Mitchell Park have picked up a few Edwardstown players from there move to the SFL and will be alot stronger this year. Can anyone confirm??

If true they would generally be some handy pickups for a Div 6 side

What r u on about mate?

We have a player that has to clear his fees to his previous club before he can play with us, which the club has already addressed with this player, and encouraged him to do so ASAP,
Or are u referring to the player that we didnt clear because he was unfinancial as he still owed the club for club merchandice he took and didnt pay for, shorts, socks etc. Which he got cleared anyway because the SAAFL dont see that as unfinancial?

How is that squealing like "stuck pigs" to the SAAFL?
SAFFL said u cant hold a player back for those unfinancial reasons so he was cleared?

So which one are u pissed off about?
The player that owns your club money that is no benifit to Trinity until he pays it?
OR
You think its ok for players to take socks, shorts etc and not pay for them?

Or if its about something completly different then i have no idea what u r talking about?

Christ, how many have you got? I don't know if this guy fits into the categories above, probably does. the top one

Well pal, I'll fill you in.
A player X (BR to you) wants to be cleared to your club and is unfinancial with our club because he thought he had paid his subs but hadn't so your main man sent a letter of complaint to the SAAFL saying "this isn't fair, player X says his subs are paid but club Y says they're not! We get told to to give SAAFL the relevant details. We furnish the info to the SAAFL but that's not good enough and now we have to front them again with all of the minute details of who got paid what, how was it paid, what was deducted and why it was deducted. Matey, you have the w^nker and I hope he looks for a clearance next year to go somewhere else and you cop this sort of crap from another club that squeals to the SAAFL like someone from within your mob has!
You might want to think about changing your name to the Trinity Old Squealers Footy club.

thats a pretty good result for clg. Aldinga will finish in the bottom 4 in the SFl but to have 32 scoring shots in 60 mins of football is very very impressive. Nice work CLG

I have no idea who is the player is u r talking about but seriously Trinity Old Squealers? What the??
Im not on the Trinity committee, im just the reserves coach but i can only assume that Trinity are only doing what they have to do to support this new player, if he indeed owes your club money then you have every right not to clear him but from our club point of view all i can see from what u r saying is that we have a player that has left your club, u guys r pissed he has left, we put in a clearence for him, u guys denied it because u say he hasnt paid his fees, he tells our club he has so one of our committee people have defended him to the SAAFL and asked for the matter to be looked into? If your club is run properly then why should this be a problem? u guys must have paper work relating to this matter? I ran a football club 07 & I had paper work of players that hadnt paid? so surly your club can provide this to the SAAFL and then case closed the player doesnt get cleared till he has paid what money he owes your club!

Like i said i dont know all the details i can only assume from what u tell me, i will be sure to ask a few questions. But as for the stuck pigs??? squealers???
R u saying your club wouldnt do the same thing for a new player? How do we the club know that your club r not just saying that to hold the player back? I couldnt see many clubs not defending there new player in the same situation.

Trinity, we probably would do the same thing but in a different manner, quite right.
On Feb 2nd we received the clearance application and I replied to your secretary's email with the details of why we refused it and gave a indepth account of what was owed and why. I am happy to furnish you with a copy of it too if you wish. All the secretary had to do was get my details out of the SAAFL book, pick up the phone and have a chat, it could have been resolved in a heartbeat. Somehow it went back to the SAAFL and we had to supply them with a detailed account of the same thing. Now we have to do it again in a different format just to appease the crap happy people at Thebarton. All this for a player that played 5 games and then bolted.
Send me a pm, I'm happy to provide you with all the details but clubs are run by volunteers, not administration gurus that get paid for going through this bullsh*t because a player either didn't keep/read/care about his payment slip, and now thinks he's hard done by when we refuse to clear him.
Give us a break! It's not rocket science but let common sense prevail, has trust been thrown out with the daily garbage?

End of the day players should pay their subs, takes $$$ to run clubs, amenities and equipment, clubs should also stick to the rules and can only hold a player for previous seasons outstanding subs only.
Players should retain their receipt or paid membership card as proof of payment of subs and if subs payment were part of a "deal" again player should ask for some sort of receipt to protect himself.
Had one particular club refuse a player clearance several years ago for a substantial amount of money, when asked for a detailed statement, was presented with invoice for several seasons of cricket and football fees, shorts, socks etc player again was cleared upon payment of previous years outstanding subs only saafl stated was clubs responsibility to chase for other outstanding fees.

Has anyone seen this new recruit playing at Glenunga? Adam Marshall? I have heard mixed reports, apparently he was at Callington for two years? Possibly the reason the club went so downhill?

They also have that Brad Thompson bloke. Apparently the coaches managed to pull off a successful cross-sport poaching. Was a good golfer, hopefully turned footballer, who knows why he is slumming around in division 6.

Rumour has it former SAAFL division 1 stalwart Michael King, the ROCs prodigal son, will be returning to Adelaide soon.... looks like Glenunga may be in the running to secure his services. a burst up the divisional ladder could be on the cards
