Hopefully OUR selectors take note as well.

Pick talented and performing youngsters rather than recycled 30 something shield bullies that are proven not to be test standard.

Declare at ~11:15 am tomorrow, gives you two bites at teh openers before and after lunch.

550-600 in front five and a bit sessions to get nine wickets
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Aussies scored 112 in that session, but only 20 in the last ten overs

if we have a lead of 520 before stumps i would declare and have 5 or so overs at them tonight..with our batting scoring a quick hundred in the last session should be rather easy! get two bites of the new ball tonite and tomorow and we definitely wont run out of time to get 9 wickets. plus a new opener to face some overs tonight would be extremely hard (especially if they go morkel again)

According to Cricinfo, if Hughes can get a century here he will be the youngest player ever to bring it up in both innings of a match.

Like clockwork isn't it? Combination of jealousy and disbelief that a replacement for Haydos has emerged so soon after the big fella's departure.

Hughes having a lot of the strike lately (44 balls of the last 60, with only 7 runs - a bit different to his approach to 100 in the 1st dig)

You know, as a young player making your way it must fill you with confidence when you're under pressure to look up the other end of the pitch and see that a champion like Ricky Ponting is your batting partner.
