Slow night CoverKing? ;)

My view of the WYC v Ramblers game is pretty much in the balance. Calderbank's 7 for was bloody impressive. 4 LBWs, 2 bowled and a catch at first slip - there were no rubbish wickets there which can often happen in big wicket hauls.

McCormack certainly hits a long ball. Some impressive clean hitting there today.

Which was a bloody good catch by AF although it was about 15-20 metres behind where he was standing and that was the only one which could have been considered a 'rubbish' wicket. Someone didn't have enough confidence in the tail i think.

definitely a slow night roseboy!
and mccormack hits the biggest ball in the comp IMO. Good to see him get some runs just before finals aswell. he will be extremely important in determining how far wyc go.
7/42 off 21 overs is extremely impressive but i just dont understand how he woulda deceived so many batters..game is definitely in the balance but maybe wyc just on top ;) just because we got the runs on the board.
and the first slip one bloods, just say it was not a captains dismissal

Dont know about that. He might be the association sides pinch hitter...... but i think a six i saw last weekend from a fellow pinch hitter that smashes bigger with a rubbish bat :D

saw one of the greatest innings ever yesterday... Darrel Joseph made 265. He hit a incredible 26 sixes....... Even though it was section 5, it would've been 150 or even 200 easy in any other grade........ AWSUM!!!!

Plympton out 76 and keswick 6 for 124. Kurt took 5 bowling the quickest i ve seen him bowl in 3 yrs....and he was into the breeze. very good opening spell of bowling. that includes a drop catch at fourth which would have given him michelle fivefor instead he just bowled them out. amazing! mind you, to little too late.

Stupidest comment of the year goes to you plugger =D> =D> . Whilst taking nothing away from his innings yesterday you have no idea what he would've made if he had played either higher or lower yesterday i am sure if he was playing against ICC at Hackham oval he wouldn't have got near 100  .

i can tell u rite now this guy is a gun!!!!!! only reason he doesn't play higher is because he had a car accident and he can hardly run!!!!!! 265 is 265 no matter what grade you play... iv played lots of section 1 and iv seen some great innnings, this was one of the best, if not the best ive ever seen.... you guys can go back to talking bout yourselfs again.... Just thought it was worth putting it on here, im sure you would have done the same....

26 sixes bloody hell... how many balls did the bloke face? great knock...
but sayin it would be 100 or 150 in any other grade is a stupid call!!
plugger there is a massive difference between warradale's oval and icc's for example, plus the bowling difference is around 10 times as good.
great knock, obviously too good for div 5 but that is a stupid call!!!

and good work to rusty and his boys for demolishing plympton and good to see kurt back to some of his best

calderbank took a staggering 7/42 off his 21 overs. WYC were playing for spin, hopefully they dont make the same mistake next game against ramblers. all in all 228 good score and the early wicket of colo helps! be interesting day at the youth centre next week

sheidow made 170 and icc are 0 for 20 or so. JB making 98 getting stumped by dingles to a ball that was actually pitched up ...

news on the other games???

That that for real?...

Yeah it's for real. Very tight bowling and some interesting batting techniques against it.

Why would anyone ever claim an innings in a lower grade would be worth anything in a higher grade. Pointless comparison.

I also do not understand Glenelg's slow pace in the batting. So often a side can dig in during the second innings. Would have been ideal to put them back in the same day. Looks like Plympton and Sheidow will lose so all Glenelg have to do is win outright and they are in. Strange.

i hope glenelg are held to only a first innings win where the miss out by 5 overs or somethin like that and the slow batting of sat comes back to bite em on the ass...they had NH 7/19 at one stage! Amazing by ANA.

we actually agreed on two things there AF u should never have left ;)

and whats with the techniques against calderbank?? just curious as i wasnt there, interested to know how he got em all

Yes it is very much so worth putting on here plugger it is a great effort to make 265 in any grade or form of the game no doubt. But to compare it to any other grade of cricket whether that be higher or lower is IMHO stupid, every facet of the game is different in every game you play so it is no comparison. I don't know why you are saying for us to talk about ourselves again as we did make comment about how well he had done to make it. It is only the comparison that i think is wrong.
