Sorry, but all I know about this issue is from what I've read on here - I wasn't involved with making any decisions.

welll thats very interesting in its self as ian amey at the game said to me in front of the NEK capt. that he'd spoken to the executive committee and the decision was that whilst we didnt state who was subbing who for week 2 it wasnt up to NEK to choose who would bat. so interesting you say its the 1st you've heard of it.

anyone know what the actual rule book says about this???

yeah mate i stated the rule in full about a dozen or so pages ago.

c.c.c.a match rules 2008/009
5.1 team lists part (b)

a team may if it wishes name up to 13 players for a two day match.if a team names more than 11 players it must before the toss nominate 11 of them to play the 1st week (which was done) and 11 to play on the second week (which was done) the only players eligible to bat or bowl on each day are those nominated for that day. where 13 players are named, the team must nominate, before the toss which of them substitutes for whom on the 2nd week (heard this was not done???). at the start of the 2nd day, a substitute may resume an over or an innings started on the 1st day by the player whom he or she replaces. for the purpose of the records of the associttion, the player whose innings was uncompleted on the 1st day will be treated as having retired
You were easily the worst team all season, somehow though managed to stay in the mix, you were VERY lucky not to lose outright in the last round, even though you seem so certain that u should have won outright.. HULLO!!!! You got bowled out for next to f**K all, you dont deserve SH*T!!

Why you opted to stay in div 1 is beyond me, your a bunch of clowns who have failed to reach the standard for the past couple seasons...

dont throw stones....

You believe what you like mate, when you can't get 11 players to the ground on time for a final that's a disgrace and you desvered everything you got. So you had better get your own clown troop organised or expect more of the same next year.

Mate dont worry about Fitzroy and their C grade, you should be more worried about the CM Juggernaut rolling through your club and winning the flag!

Hey Hey Hey hold on mate this Bloke is havin a crack at a fifteen yea old you can't do that mate

HTFU.. :-* If that's the worst thing that gets said to ya on (or off  ) the cricket field, you'll be laughin'.. ;) 8)

Junior, congrats on your 5 wickets in a semi-final,that's a fair effort for a 15 year old kid champ.I can confirm the opening left-handed bowler and the 10 other blokes were qualified to play in the C's which is more than i can say for the 2 blokes that played the semi for you's.How does 2 blokes get to play when one of them has played all of the season in the A's and B's and the other one has played B's for the majority of the season(that's not very fair).I do agree that the C Grade are too good for div 5 and they should be playing in Div 4 but the B's are playing in Div 4 so how is that going to work?we can't have them in the same Div,it doesn't work from past experiences!
How bout u just stop complain cry me a river and build a bridge and get over it u sound like a chick man
This coming from someone from the sounds of it has only reached pubity just recently judging from the sudden rage  I was giving you a compliment earlier champ. The bottom line is you lost, you aren't playing in a Grand Final so get over it.You were beaten by a better team,it's that plain and simple.PS:Look up "Sledging" in when you get your Cricket Manual and HTFU!!!!
