Well played Steyn & co. Game on...

Completely agree mate

Ditto.

Much like the 1st test, this one has been much more watchable than others played recently.

Yeh, I love seeing Australia collapse due to some of the worst batting imaginable and guys like Hussey and North striking at 30.

Kepler "blood" Wessels said yesterday that days 2 and 3 were the hardest on this pitch.
He said the movement of the deck and pace would increase big time compared to day 1.

I aint got the cricket on the tv at the moment but sound like he might be right.

It's doing all that for sure.

To elaborate, Australia went from 5/348 after 104.4 overs, to all out 352 from 107.4 overs.
South Africa 2/0 after 5 balls, so that's 7/4 off of just 3.5 overs.

150.9ks from Johnson, 352 would seem like 652 to the batsmen out there now.

Well it could be a lot worse. We could have a dud like Watson in the team and be a man short every few innings.

OK to clarify my comment about Ponting being the worst captain since...I think the Duminy dismissal in the 2nd innings of the last test was a rare slice of Ponting genius as captain. So maybe he's getting better. Keep learning Ricky!

Another stat for you is that South Africa is 2 for 3 after 2.3 overs. ;)

Just a further clarification.Ponting has the best winning percentage of any captain in the history of test cricket.Keep dishing up the rubbish Purch.

He has a great winning percentage but I agree with Purch. He reckons he's the worst captain since Kim Hughes.

AB
Tubby
Waugh

all ahead of Punter I'd suggest. I thought tactically he was very poor in England in 2005 and in India last year although the selectors didn't help a great deal in that series. Winning percentages aren't the complete picture of the how good a captain is, you need to have a look at the troops at their disposal and how they are deployed.
