I like the way NSW handle their young players, it's no wonder so many go on to play for Australia. They introduce them young and even if they constantly fail they persist with them. Khawaja is only 22 and has had a hard time of it this season but his last 3 scores are 112, 41 and 65*.

Yeah you gotta hand it to them, they haven't had the best team this season but their record speaks for itself. Not a bad blueprint to copy but you need the cattle too I guess.

Hughes is a fantastic talent but he was handled well and now look where he is...

22 is still very young too in cricket terms, would love to see him finish the season with a ton.

IIRC he belted the SA 2nd XI from pillar to post in the first game of the season with a double hundred

I think this kid can seriously play and as others have stated is being handled very well by the blue boys. He seems very capable of turning starts into scores which is a good thing at his age. Good to see warner make his first class debut as well and did ok making 42.

Get him in the side. More New South Welshmen are clearly needed. Maybe he can teach Hussey how to hit the ball off the square. 8)

Firstly he is from NSW, secondly he is young and hasnt played much domestic cricket. This reminds me of..... Hughes. He will go to England for sure. Well he is my smokey.

He won't go to England. Maybe in a few years time, but not now.

Very good prospect though, 123*. Didn't people say we have no young talent?

Gotta give credit to panther for this one, always rated Khawaja and has been pumping up his tires for quite some time now.

There are 3-4 guys from NSW that could make it big in a few years.

There is plenty of young and middle-aged talent around the place, the fact that we've been more than competitive against South Africa's best kit with so many inexperienced players in the side and our two lead bowlers missing is testament to that. Granted a large proportion of our most promising prospects are coming out of NSW but so what? Guns are guns wherever they're from.
