Pumped for this one! I know it's stating the bleeding obvious but we need to make a good, solid start to this Test whether it's with bat or ball. There is a bit of belief in the team after their First Test heroics but they need to back it up. Make those Saffies panic.

The 4 Tests so far have been great games of cricket, I'm sure this one will be no different.

Good solid start by the Aussies despite the very humid conditions.

0/47 off 11.4

Hughes has raced to 41 off 42. It is only early and i don't want to put the mockers on him but this kid is going to be something very special IMHO.

Do you reckon if Hughes and Watto ever bat together in a test match and ton up, would it be rated XXX for NFC....

The deck looks an absolute road. 400 minimum for this innings.

Looking at it, it is very flat. Hmmm Road like ;)

We probably need a good basis of 400 - 450 and bowl well. On this deck the Seth Efrican Batsmen will bat well.

I don't recall an opening partnership like this since Hayden/Langer.

Paul Harris has quickly become one of my most disliked cricketers. Firstly he is no good. He just bowls rubbish. Mitchell Johnson gave him exactly what he deserved in the first test. Secondly he thinks he is causing the batsmen trouble. He couldn't turn a ball if he was bowling on the driest most uneven deck ever seen yet he still throws his arms in the air in disbelief that the balls that he throws 3 feet outside off stump don't jag back and hit the stumps. I know bowlers like Warne and Murali use gamesmanship with such theatrics to build pressure on batsmen but those guys had the weapons to back it up. FFS even i would be embarrassed to get out to Harris. He is so very very ordinary that i wonder why Australia are concerned about our spin bowling options. It surely couldn't be as bad as Harris. How does he get a game. If he is the best spin bowling option in South Africa then they have a lot more problems than the Aussies.

What a gem we have in Hughes. His temperament is so impressive. He is going to become an absolute superstar. It's one thing to have the talent but to couple that with the attitude Hughes has is something special. 12 to go for the first of many Test centuries. I can't wait.
