Jamahl Liddle offered big money in Mildura apparently and word is from Loxton camp he is gone.

His lack of fitness at this stage might be found out in Sunraysia however and apparently they expect good results for their investments.

Hope he does well.

Also on the Tigers, it appears Ash Montgomery (who is looking fit) is waiting on results for Ross River Virus scan.

Interesting, Matt Martinson had ross river most of last year at Renmark and it knocked around massively.

The tigers need a fit in full flight Monty to be up there this year, the boy has got some ability but has been a bit hit and miss over the years. Can seriously play when on song.

Out of him and Benno as to who wins the long kicking comp tomorrow i reckon, sorry SS can't get you in the top 2!

I wouldn't put myself in the top 6.

I was just telling Matty Leyson how we're both kicking for the same charity but I think our kicks together wouldn't win it.

Bennett has a leg on him that would feed a Korean Army.

Odds for long kick

Ryan Bennett - $1.40
Ash Montgomery - Scratched. Possibly replaced by Ryan Smith
Ben Venning - $2.50
Anton Cook - $5
Darryl Tillbrook - $8

Any other player - $15

From the Herald Sun.

ADELAIDE have withdrawn eight senior players from a an practice match against Hawthorn which looms as a farce.
Hawthorn has named just one premiership player for a trial game in Berri in South Australia's Riverland that even coach Alistair Clarkson won't attend.

In response, the Crows on Friday pulled eight first-choice players from their line-up, including captain Simon Goodwin and established stars Andrew McLeod, Tyson Edwards and Scott Thompson.

None of Adelaide's eight-strong leadership group will feature in the game.

''The perspective has changed a little bit this week in terms of the squad that we'll take because of the injuries that Hawthorn has got,'' Crows coach Neil Craig said on Friday.

But Craig maintained his club had an obligation to Adelaide's Riverland-based supporters ''to treat the game in a very serious manner and we will be''.

Injury-ravaged Hawthorn named seven players from their VFL affiliate side Box Hill for the match.

The Hawks have conceded they have an "extraordinary low level of player availability" and are almost certain to be under strength for Round 1 opponent Geelong.

Now they have moved into injury damage control, aware that suffering further injuries in their remaining two pre-season games would be catastrophic.

Already Rick Ladson (knee), Jordan Lewis (shoulder). Xavier Ellis (hip), Trent Croad (foot) and Stephen Gilham (knee) will miss Round 1.

Coleman medallist Lance Franklin (thumb/shoulder) and Norm Smith medallist Luke Hodge (shoulder) will only just get to Round 1 with limited or no match practice, as will Grant Birchall (hamstring), Chance Bateman (knee) and Campbell Brown (ankle).

Players to be rested tomorrow include captain Sam Mitchell, Stuart Dew, Brent Guerra, Jarryd Roughead and Cyril Rioli.

Well both teams can go and f*ck themselve's and I hope they end up 15th and 16th this year. What an absolute disgrace.
