Hey SB sorry haven't got long but I didn't stay for the end but seen some good footy played.

The young Sharks outfit were not too bad a bit bruised after a pretty good hit out against Yank where they won by five points. Was 5:8 to 5:3 I think. With Yank kicking 3 in the last 10 minutes so should have been alot more. Out of the 8 points I think only 2 were rushed and some very close ones missed.

Cove disposed of Marion pretty easy, A young...ish... side but looked very very good. Their depth is certainly not a problem

Our 2nd Hit out against Victor didn't really go to plan. Brad let alot of guys that trained stay on and Victors exerience showed true and they ended up belting us by about 12 goals. Was a few good things out of that game, good for Brad to get an idea of who's who in that sort of pressure.

Overall was a good day to get the guys together and now gives them the early reality check they needed to now get on with it and focus on the areas that need improving.

Watching Marion it seemed they have lost alot with out Bilney setting up, but a few of the older heads werent to bad. Skills were about as sharp as ours on the day........ to be desired.... ;)

All in all a good day out.

Should be interesting to see how Victor go this year, they were very sharp. Would love it if they gave Willunga a run for their money. Yankalilla certainly wont be a 'lie down and die' side, they fought well to the end of both of their games. It was a good experience for the lads from Shark Park that always train but dont get a run against A grade level players. It can only be good for our footy. Certainly still a few things to iron out before round one.

Booted 65-30 in 1985.
Amazingly Morphett Vale reached it against the Hawks in 2007 but didn't pass it ----- joint-holders of the SFL record, and it will probably stay that way forever.

A crew in Victoria called Campbells Creek booted 100 sometime back in the Sixties or Seventies.

Hey Shimma yeah were definatley keen for the hit out. We have one on Wednesday night against CLG but are playing a different squad so saturday against you guys should looki like at least 30 to 40 so should be good.

Seen the program last night with the aim for 6 x 20mins starting at 6:30 so should be good. Boys are keen. We are defintaley not the bench mark for standards in the SFL but have a good young side that will certainly pull through one day.

Looking forward to it, it's always good playing a side you haven't before.

How many numbers will you guys have?

we have had about 60 out training so far so dare say we will have about 40 ready to go. think we will play our c and b grade first then an A grade squad will play the last 4 or qtrs i would think. We to a very young squad should be a good hitout underlights.

Yeah that's what we've been told we will be playing the B's for the first couple then A's for a couple then mixing it up. Good numbers you have we are just confirming and pulling everyone together so it will be a good night out I reckon, have heard they are a decent bunch of lads at SMOSH so looking very forward to it. We had 35 for the carnival last weekend and heaps weren't available so aiming for similar numbers again to give everyone a fair go.
