Can anyone definately confirm if Daniel Thomas has signed on at Hummocks. I have heard a rumour over the weekend that he may be going to Kilburn (especially now that they are in Div2 and looking to throw big cash around) - I would ask The Big Shrek but apparently he has been put out on a compulsory holiday for a week or so.

That's why this site has been more sensible in the past few days

Can't confirm anything but heard a rumour that ex united players from last year Matt Leigh & Darren Powell are going to H/W Eagles this year. Wouldn't expect them to play much footy as they were both fairly injured at end of last year but heard they are good mates with the new coach. If Matt Leigh's knee comes good however, could be the pick up of the season!

Matt Leigh looked quality before he got injured for United.

Speakin to a Gawler Centrals ass coach, he reckons Braz would be demanding they pay players as he did as coach for them. Sounded like part of the reason he had no premiership success there, was that centrals werent willing to compete with the likes of Barossa Districts and Tanunda in terms of $$$. Sounds like he has found his niche. Given their awesome success as a club over the past few years and not having to pay the big bucks, I think their money would be better spent in maintaining the local schools oval that we're meant to be playing a final on this year and to endorse a baby bonus for the locals of Lochiel, Pt Wakefield, Nantawarra to keep that local talent coming through. They will again be a big force in 2009.
