yes was a good close game with a big crowd,scarffy batted a tad slow but picked up the pace at the bar when he heard jagers were 4 for $18 and knocked back bout 5 in as many minutes in which he asked for a clearance papers to join porties then asked for boys if he could wear there medals,shoe boy u mite want to lower your bar prices or it could be heartbreakin for u to see him in a baggy black hang he was wearing one of the porties boys black caps last nite

Port A grade chased down Morphies total and finished minor premiers.
Port B Grade lost by 5 runs in a good game but also finished minor premiers.
Port C1 won finishing minor premiers and Port C 2 lost finishing 3rd at the end of minor round.

Quite a dominant season by the lads at Port Noarlunga during the minor round and a lot of credit must go to the coach Brad Nicholas who has brought a terrific approach to training and game day since being appointed a few years ago.
Kudos also go to the captains of each grade, especially the C grade skippers who face the challenge of pinching players from not only a team mate but an opposing captain as well which isn;t an ideal situation.

Porties A Grade, languishing in 3rd mid season and playing ordinary cricket until the Seaford lads came on here and gave it BIG TIME to Mark Boes.
Since then the white pointers have been playing great cricket and the captain scoring a couple of tons.

Finals time is upon us and good luck to all sides and hopefully some good spirited, competitive cricket without interference from the weather is played by both sides.

Well done to the Shoe boys finishing the minor round with some solid wins.

A grade to good for Kangies chasing 140 the Shoes ended 7/320? with the skipper making 135 and surley rapping up the COY.

B grade belted Kangies and just missed an outright Kangies 140 Shoes 200 Kangies 8/50 with the pres Ollie finishing with some great bowling and 9 for the game

C grade as expected belting dads army and the big swinger making 86

16 went down in their worst performance of the year and am sure next week WILL come out to play?

14 went down but these young lads inproved during the year and all will learn from the experience.

Now finals so all on deck and have a crack.

C'Mon shoeboy..........he wasn't the only Noarlunga lad there until the early hours.
The line up for a drink was 2 deep until midnight.
To say his preperation was wrong would suggest that Porties should've lost today as well.
Just because he had his head pictured doesn't mean anything.

So comes the completion of another minor round,full marks to all 6 A grade sides not one outright result,with all sides competative and capable of winning.Kangarilla have shown signs of improvement,with a lot of young lads the future looks bright,Morphett vale also have played good cricket and are not far off,the gap between first and last is minimal.Interesting to see how all captains are also the best performers,James Edwards, Mark Boes,Shane Comer, Rhys Allard,Stephen Bryne and Houston,all will probably win best for their club,the improvement of young players continues amongst all sides Jason Scarff, Sam Titterton,A J Burgess,Ciaron Ohagan,Featherstone and Sean Mcivor,all developing into future leaders and star performers.Now we head into finals with all side capable of winning with this weeks games Pt Noar vs Cove,cant pick a clear winner both teams have players capable of winning or turning the game and so could be said of Noar vs Seaford makes for an interesting couple of weeks.

Just looking at the tables, Flaggies B grade will be a bit peeved, finished in third spot by 17 runs and apparently by all reports they had an hour to bat but declined cause they thought they had second wrapped up. Just goes to show, every point counts.
