Just read all 13 pages, cheers for the updates and everything guys.

Just on the Paul Chapman discussion on about page 3, he'll be 37 this year.

Someone also mentioned Damien Pietuch earlier, was playing for South a couple of years ago, not sure if he still is or not.

Grant 'Fatty' Sleep is still coaching them this year but apparently he can't commit to the full season due to work so they are currently looking for someone to help out. Would have thought Jason Hannan would have been the obvious one to help out. :?

I agree.

I'm tipping this year's ladder to be:

Roopena
West
North
Central
South
Weeroona Bay

That being said, I reckon the battle of the top three will be interesting, while Central, South and the Bays will battle hard for that final fourth position.

Do you think this will be how it is after the minor round or will Roopena beat West in the GF?
I think your spot on with the top 3 tho and it could go anyway.

I'm not willing to pick a premier.

I think that's how it will finish after the minor round.

Should be another great season of the unknown except I would like to see the Bays reunite to become a challenge again.

They've had a long run of lean years.

Which team was the last to win a flag up there? Norths won it last year (1st for a long time), westies the year before and centrals won the previous what 6-7 flags. I would've thought Souths and the Bays havent won a flag in a while.

Early 90's i think. Reckon their last flag was also their last GF as well. I think Roopena and the Tigers have won since then, and obviously Centrals, Norths and Westies have won flags in the past few years. It'd be over 10 years for Souths, almost the same for the Bays and Roopena

Roopena's last flag was 1997 (A'Grade went through undefeated and they won all 4 grades that year.)

Weerona bay went through undefeated in 1996.
South's last flag was 1994.

watch out for Russell 'the love muscle' Tucker as he tears it apart in the black and white this year...

if you'd seen him slotting them on saturday night the whyalla goal umpires are going to have sore necks by the end of the year!

I talked to a bloke a work today about this player and he said he will be a massive signing for North's.
Apparently he has played junior footy with South Adelaide and was a rep player in great southern league.

I thought you were. What club are you tied up with??

I was just wondering North have signed two pretty good (well, one that we KNOW is good) recruits in the past two seasons.

I was wondering why someone of Nick Prokopec's stature and now Russ Tucker would sign with them?

How were they enticed to the club? From what I've heard North doesn't offer match payments to all their players but are they offering big sums for these guys do you think?

Roopena and West are known for forking out, North not so much, although the question can be asked now, are they now more financial than they have been in the past?

Couldnt really tell you if they are offering heaps of cash.
Dont know how much a Russell Tucker would be getting paid at North's
What im hearing is that they are doing well on and off the field and there is alot of harmony down there which all goes well for the players i think.
Roo's seem to have forked out a bit more this year but West are fairly quiet at the moment.
