Uh not sure mate, haven't spoken to the coaching staff about it yet so....? I reckon it would be pretty alright. Its got its ads and dis-ads. ie better ball skills and match fitness before seasons proper as well as seeing what recruits have instore. But then what about injury? How much will that suck if and when someone gets owned or breaks a bone. :(

Can't wait to see Bostons vs Tumby.

First time i can think of being at Souths and snagging a handy player from another club within the league. Hope they don't stuff round with the clearance. 8)

While some clubs are yet to confirm for the pre season cup, Waybacks are definite non participants. Won’t have anything to do with anything Tasmans or Ravendale. Once again their arrogance comes to the fore in our league.

Head coach and President of the WFC also very upset with Tasmans in particular a local builder and his standover tactics used to recruit. My mail tells me however they are not alone in this regard with every other club bar MP most annoyed. With mounting cases of bullying occurring across several clubs they should be careful in how far they go.

How is the money distributed? eg. gatetakings, bar, canteen?

It just doesn't ad up to be viable on the current agreement, but you would think waybacks would be happy bringing people to the area  .

Hmm, who knows, they're a proud club with some proud heritage and as current premiers they probably have every right to feel the way they do.

Might not want to reveal much about their recruits etc.

In saying that, yeah, some work may be needed on the money divs.

Cup is being run by Mark Fisher on behalf of the Ravendale Complex, not Tasmans. All takings go back to the entire sporting club, gate takings will go toward Centenary Oval!! Hopefully Waybacks at least come and watch so they can still prop up Centenary.

Steakn, since you’ve signed him who is the player from another club?

Also find it fairly ironic how Souths have had no problem attempting to poach players from other clubs who have done a lot of work (found jobs etc) with said players over the years (Sinclair, Yancic, H Parker, D McPharlin, Dom etc etc) but think it’s most unfair PT wants to leave. It’s not all take take take, Scotty & Brett!!

I have heard that said builder has given DCM's to an entire squad of footballers ( in excess of 20 people). So I guess Tasman's pending incoming recruits could dwindle a little from here on in.

Do they still have any possible recruits?

That's fine, was just suggesting a possible reason as to why they are not participating in the cup.

Waybacks had a previously arranged trial game with Tumby, but that may not be on the cards any more....programming issues.

I think you will find that WFC have had recent discussions with Mark Fisher over participation. Their initial non involvement was purely about honouring a previous commitment.
To quote the great malcolm blight, the WFC couldn't give a rats toss bag about what the TFC do. Only time we ever looked across Windsor Avenue is to check if the oval lights have been left on...
