Don't exactly do a lot of gigs though do they?

And their band members keep changing. Lol.

yeahh they've really cut back lately and had their fair share of changeovers, but they played an excellent set tunarama weekend at the tasman!

Been waiting for it ;) I was going to put in a disclaimer that I don't necessarily agree with cover bands taking pub/club gigs away from original bands. Is a function any different, I don't know?

I reckon if the function is for a group of people that enjoy different types of music then a cover band is best. At least they'll play some soft music as well as some rock like guns n roses and stuff. If I picked a band for a function soley on what i wanted to listen to it'd be a heavy band, but im very aware that a lot of people dont like the same stuff and wouldnt enjoy themselves.

And theres also the drunk sing-a-long factor...always GOLD

Alternatively hire a juke box - hear the songs the way they are meant to be played - and save a shirtload of $$$ ;)

Back in the early 90's Adelaide was Australia's capital city of cover bands!

...Some idiots couldn't tell the difference between them & the real thing!

ie. "Hey mate, Gunners & Metallica are playin the Front Page tonite!"
"Nah ya dickhead, it's Appetite for Destruction & Disposable Heroes!"

(T'was a silly time to say the least!)

Another Band you could try is the Hollywood Gun Club (search on FaceBook) .. They put on a pretty good show, Sabbath, Van Halen, Priest, ACDC etc, pretty much anything you want (they can tone it down somewhat as they did for a mate's wedding).

Don't get me started......

"Hey! Do you know if you go to a Appetite for Destruction gig and close your eyes it's like hearing the real thing?"
What? As opposed to staying home putting on the record and not paying an inflated cover charge and inflated bar prices?

I would dare say they don't have a website Browny.

Were Unknown to Man or Mild Steel unavailable?

Super Turtle from the Riverland does a pretty good set.

I don't have contact for them, but I do have a video I'll try and upload onto facebook if you like.
