The facts are though that when this matter was discussed with the official representative from your club at the last delegates meeting, he told the exec that he thought that the penalty was fair, and he wasn't going to dispute it.
If Fitzroy had put forward a good argument as to why you shouldn't have lost the points, I would have supported your argument, but since your own representative agreed with the decision, the outcome was obvious.

Of course the decision cannot be reversed now, that would open up a much larger can of worms, and as you yourself say, the exec needs to be firm and clear with its decisions, and not changing them.

Seriously though, I think that one of your guys should join the exec, you have some good ideas on how the rules can be tightened up in some areas.

Won’t matter, we won’t be in the league next year if this is your final outcome. This is the biggest load of bullshit I’ve ever read. He is a club delegate, he does not make decisions on behalf of the club. He brings back the information to the club committee of what is brought up in the meetings, so as a club we can then make decisions and I can tell you soon as we heard we were docked 3 points we appealed the decision by email. (I have all the emails)No one from the club has ever received notification of us being docked points, only verbal from what was said at the meeting and as far as the message that was relayed back to our committee the penalty was not negotiable. How can you send a delegate into a meeting to fight this penalty if we didn’t even know about it?
We are sick of this, we can change it next year mentality of this league.

word on the street is that Paralowie were lucky to get away with it yesterday - the parkers were one wicket away from the outright, and should have got it.

word on the next street is that the paralowie captain made some interesting decisions during the match by declaring at 2/90 in the first dig, knowing that reidy was unavailable the following week, basically keeping the parkers in the match, and then instructing his tail to block it out with only 5 runs to get and the field in, which would have secured the outright and a guaranteed finals spot.

anyway, good luck in the finals and watch out for the new look parkers next season, we have just lined up gilchrist and hayden.

well i dont what street your on mate but it must be a real good 1 mate with 100% correct info pfffft what a load of shit! yep we dec. on 90odd and your point being?????? we nearly did and still believe we should've won the game outright we were 3/187 chasing 203 with 15mins to and to rosies credit they took 5 for 8 in 10mins so as we only had 10 players and still needed 9 for the win off 2overs yep i told them to shut up shop play out the draw (1st inn. win) as i had info of the fitzys game and believed we had made the 4 by the skin of our arse. we hen got an edge through the slips for 4 which left us 8/199 had rosies got the wicket they would've made the 4 so mate just swollow your sour grapes and get on with it hey and any time you want to question me as a player capt. or in anyway i'm keen to sort that out with you.

Played Eastside, I'm not suprised at all about the alcohol. Think it might be a problem each week.

As for the unregistered player, lets make it clear he has been a Fitzroy player for the last 5 or 6 years on and off and never played at another club.

All players are registered (in our case) by email, is email 100% safe? 3 match points is very harsh for something we were notified about after he had played 4 games.

Let me add, if we had been notified of the error after the first game played as an unregistered and it took us another 3 games to rectify the error due to our slackness I would agree with the penelty, but I dont agree when you first get told after he had already played 4 games.

you do make some very good points mate and as i said in an earlyer post fitzy's very unlucky and i aint being a smart ass there either i mean that
