I keep meaning to go watch this film. Mainly because I was standing in the offices in Berlin where the Valkyrie plot was hatched only a couple of months ago. Even saw the bullet hole in the floor where one of the resistance was shot once they realised who was behind the assasination.
A girl at work recently went to see the movie. She then said she didn't understand why the English and the Americans were fighting for the Nazi's. We all looked bewildered by the comment, then she explained that the actors in the movie all had English and American accents. At this point I had to bite my tongue so I didn't laugh.

its an ok movie but really needed to do without Tom Cruise
