One of the most personable people I've met. Walks around Adelaide Oval like he owns the place, and in many respects he does!

The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

I've been out of SA for a while now. Who is Nugget Rees?

He's a bit of an evolved "personality" in SA cricket. He used to work for Barry Jarman in his sports store and started sitting in the players' viewing area at Adelaide Oval with Barry. Over the years he has been allowed to sit there in all state matches and Test matches.

When you see a shot of the players at Adelaide Oval, look for a funny looking guy sitting there in batting gloves ... that's Nugget. The players make him wear the gloves and tell him it's because he makes too much noise clapping. In fact it's because he has the wettest hands and loves to shake hands with people. Not a bad bloke is Nugget, but I'm not sure why he has achieved such notoriety. Maybe I should see the Australian story to find out.
