In showing every character it emphasises where that show jumped the shark, which was a few years ago now. Every episode nowadays seems to have a lynch mob / gathering or a scene where every character is featured. Back in the good old days it was a rarity to see Cletus or Disco Stu or the Sea Captain and it was much funnier because of it. Now you see them every week it's lost its lustre.

im hearing people say that the simpsons is well past its prime, the jokes are the same etc etc, however god damn it still makes me laugh everytime i watch it.

and i will keep watching it until the horrible day that they air their final episode. *sniff* :((
