Yeah too hardcore, that's it :-j ...

No, First of all they are'nt musically talented, they are just the following a formula...

Secondly any frontman who jumps into the crowd (that show no interest) and gets into peoples faces (like that hard c*nt he is) is a tool...

NO STAGE PRESENCE + UNORIGINAL MUSIC = NOISE POLLUTION...

Worst would probably be Creed. Hate the band. Only went because Sevendust were the support act. Then Sevendust pulled out about a week before and decided to go anyway as I couldnt move on the ticket. Shithouse band playing shithouse generic music and making shithouse generic rock poses.

Next would be Atari Teenage Riot at the BDO around 2000. Noise. There was zero musicality in the whole thing. I cant imagine anyone topping that in terms of terrible sets at a BDO.

Had a bit of a disappointment on the weekend, when the conference I was at concluded with a performance of my childhood favourite's, Dragon.

Now granted, due to age and the loss of the bands most key member, I wasn't expecting them in all their prime glory, but out of around the dozen songs they covered, I think only 6 were their own ("Speak No Evil" a notible admission :( )

To see my onetime idols, putting out numbers like Farnhams "Age Of Reason", Oz Crawls "Errol" and the Police's "Message In A Bottle" to name a few, had my jaw well and truly planted firmly on the floor.

Sadly Todd Hunter looked as though he was going to nod off from the opening song (Half the time he just stood there with a guitar) and little did I know the worst was still to come ...

Finally they got to the encore set, and alltime favouriote song "Rain" ... I nearly had to hold back the tears when they brought out the weekend's host Marty Fields to sing it!!!  (To be fair he probably did a better job than the lead vocalist would have - In all seriousness).

By now, I'd well and truly shifted off the beers to the Canadian Club to drown my sorrows, but thankfully there was one very saving grace, when they brought out Angry Anderson (an ambassador of the hosting company) who belted out "Bad Boy For Love" as though he'd never left Tattoo ... The bloke, or more rightly the power of his voice still today, is just incredible.

I honestly don't think I'll ever top the disappointment factor of this gig ... Fair enough a far portion of blame is mine for my own expectations, but fair dinkum ... At one stage half the crowd were yelling "Bring on Dragon!!" and they were already 4 songs into their show!!

Ahh is that who it is ... We couldn't work it out, thinking maybe it was an ex-John Farnham backup but now that you mention it I reckon you might be on the money.

I've just been reminded of one. The Stranglers in 2004. It was the original line up but without Hugh Cornwall and a different lead singer. Totally pointless. I would have left early but was giving a mate a lift who wanted to stay.
Bottom line if an old band reforms and tours without the original lead singer DON'T BOTHER!!!
