Those were the dayz!
dont forget sonic youth, disposable heros of hiphoprisy and Raisin toast.
And they had a vert ramp crankin all day!

We talk about climate change today but has there ever been a hotter day than that one? An awesome day though, the best BDO I ever went to.

If anyone wants to brave the heat,I still have a spare ticket at a very good price.

PM one of the mods for my mobile number and I will meet you at teh gates.

I'll be wearing a khaki brown shirt [like steve irwin wore} and an Adelaide United strap bag.

ENJOY! Apparently this will be your last chance ever. I have it on good authority that they will never perform again together after the BDO. They were the only reason I would have gone to Melbourne's BDO.

one of the best set ups for the big day out in memory. the only time you had to line up for a drink was at 12 when the bars opened otherwise smooth sailing. it actualyy wasn't too bad down there bit of a breeze at the main stage and plenty of places to go and watch music in the shade or undercover if you wanted.

my highlights

Eddy current suppresion ring
Children collide
Pendulum
The prodigy

massive day, massive night still recovering!

Good to hear you enjoyed Fantomas. I missed it just wish they were playing a sideshow. Yeah it was Crover. Lombardo is currently on Slayer duties so Crover filled in for this tour.

But highlight of the day was the Stage manager comin out to wrap peewee ferris up!! That was gold, he was so shite, never been so bored listening to music ever! hahaha

Another cracker of a day, had too much fun to notice the heat!

Highlight reel:

- The energetic set of Children Collide
- Front row at Eddy Current Suppression Ring and Brendan Suppression jumping the barrier into the crowd
- Illicit vodka on ice
- TZU and the bouncing mosh
- Mates doing 'the worm' at the Lilypad
- Mike 'Ricky Ponting' Patton and headbangin' to the Fantomas
- Squeezing our way into the Boiler Tent to see Prodigy only to realise I should have gone for a piss, squeezing my way back out, pissing, squeezing my way back in, somehow finding my mates again and being a part of one of the best electro sets I've seen - the crowd was electric!
- Des's minibus back home

Woot!!!

Stinking hot - memories fading, but possibly hotter than the first one!

Highlights - I'm a massive Prodigy fan, so being in the front three rows for their show for the fourth time was tops.

Seeing Fantomas - I'm keen to explore more of that. I left early though - there was this fwit standing next to me, drunk being a no all about Patton and Fantomas, so decided to move on.
What a set though - the half hour I saw was fantastic.

Died Pretty were great. Was nice to be standing with fans of a band who are a little educated about it and aren't just there for the next big thing (God, I'm such an oldie!).

The Waterslides - Adelaide band that was a weird electro pop outfit. They looked like a cartoon band jumping about.

Saw a bit of Hot Chip, Pee Wee Ferris' set wasn't as bad as said above, in my opinion anyway.

Pendulum were awesome, while the Eddie Current Suppression Ring and Black Kids were quite all right too.

Lowlight - walking up to guest services so I could get into the guest bar and catch up with some mates, rummaging through my bag for my guest ticket and getting rebuffed because it was already marked. It was only when I unpacked my bag the next day that I realised it was last year's ticket I showed them!

Taxi drivers - on the way there we had a rough as guts bloke who was telling us all about the young girls in their bikinis he'd had in the taxi before us. And then heading home, the poor Indian driver who thought we were taking the p*ss when we asked to be dropped off at the Bombay Bicycle Club!

Also a highlight was, catching up with Duncs again. Lovely shot of vodka you provided me with bud - you truly are the nicest man in the world ;)
