As a slight side note only 470 runs for Klinger to catch Katich's record of 1506.

We are going to need him to make some big runs if the redbacks are any chance of winning this game.

So much for that. He is gone unfortunately. Bowled by Symonds. 2/43. Not the start we were looking for. I'm loving the Harris to Harris commentary on cricket.com.au though.

You lot are never happy

You have a go at the lads if the get out cheaply of play a rash shot. Then when they put a price on their wicket and as a result have an average RPO you still have a go.

2/80 at lunch is fine wickets in hand is the key. Borgie and Doc have built a nice partnership. Once the partnership gets bigger the runs will be scored more freely. if they score 300 in the day and only loose 5 wickets sounds like a pretty good day for the redbacks to me.

Sometimes I think a genuine knowledge of the game is minimal amongst you lot :? ;)

Righto Bradman...mine was an opinion on what i see as a 'problem' within the squad, not neccessarily a comment on today's proceedings. And i stand by it.

I agree FS, well said. A couple of times this season i have been a little critical some of our players getting themselves in a bit of trouble by getting too bogged down but i don't see that issue currently. Tom Plant was one guy who just put so much pressure on himself and his batting partner with his inability to turn the strike over.

Despite my criticism of him this year vis-a-vis fitness I hope Cosgrove goes on with it today.

Undoubtably he is our best batsman - talent wise I hope he can back that talent up with a long innings.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Anyone know what has happened to Andy Delmont? I thought he showed some reasonable promise last year, but this year hasnt got any gig in any form of the game. He's also scoring grade runs. Any ideas ?

Andrew Symonds did not return to the field after the Lunch Break
He had the entire session off
I was there talking to the regulars

There were 3 main reasons mooted by the crowd at the ground today

1...His knee has been re-injured.
2...He was on the phone to selector Andrew Hiditch bragging about bowling gun batsman Klinger.
and the most popular reason why Roy missed the session
3...He told his team-mates he was going to go fishing by the river Torrens today and would be back as soon as he caught his first fish ...

Finally this man has gone on with a start. Well done Doc. Hopefully Cossie goes on with his start.

52* and going along nicely. An in-form Cosgrove is crucial to SA being successful over the next few years.
