Heard from a very good source that Crunchy Asple was training at Tailem last night, and is looking very good on the track! it seems Tailem is getting better and better every week!

Muffy looks in fine form and the team seems to lift around him. I heard Dillon Hogarth being called "White-Muff" Gregerkie "Wog-Muff" which I found amusing, its sounds like they all want to be like Muff out there, which can only be a good thing. They got a bloke out there who is bigger than Gabb maybe it was that Coma they are going on about? I didnt even recognise Rankine he has lost so much weight and think I saw Michael J Kroppy running around which took me back to Tailem in the 90s. What's the word on young Mike Sumner? He was out there running fine looking really good maybe surjery rumors are wrong. Lynch was out there and some bald bloke with really good skills caught my eye, is he new??? I reckon theyll shake up the comp this year.

Goblin the bald bloke is Vickers who has been at TB for the past two seasons. I think that's not the only place he has shaved for certain reasons??? The big bloke is not comer, he is a mate of Gabbs and looks quiet handy but hasn't played footy for five years. Comer is still yet to attend training due to his accident, but have been told he will be at tailem next week. Muffy has certainly lifted the spirit of all the locals and the adelaide boys cant' wait to play footy with him. With all the other players returning and the few recruits added to last years side, the pressure will be on Dent to see if he can come up with the goods. Only time will tell??????????

Tyson Wait named in Port Magpies' squad for the trial game at Alberton Oval tomorrow. Looks like he will hang in there a bit longer at the Magpies but must be some sort of chance still of returning to Imps mid year.

If Ben Hansen plays at TB full time this year and not at Sturt that will be a big bonus.

I didn't realise Raidis was fitness coach at Glenelg, bonus for TB that he's able to play there on Saturdays and not go to Bays' games.

HOGARTH - B&F last year, still real young, plenty of pace.
HANSEN - Gun.
GREGURKE - Small, fast, decided not to take payment at Karoonda.

Also noticed no mention of youngsters Krueger or Schulz there, hopefully for Tailem they're still at the club this year.

Yeah, I can't believe I forgot Andrew Coombe in the returning locals bunch. He is able to play every game in 09, which is great news. He was a fantastic young player, played underage football with Sturt, then some quality A Grade with Tailem before moving to Imperials A grade team, then suffering from injury.

I was worried Krueger was heading to Peake, I know that are chucking a lot at him, but have since had it confirmed he will stay at Tailem. And young Jason Schultz is another who is avalible for the whole season, as opposed to last year, where work commitments limited him to 5 or 6 games. His old man ran second in a Mail Medal one year and I think Jason has the same kinda dash and flare!

Another one I forgot is Jarryd Linde is back into the Tailem squad after a year out with a busted kindey, suffered last year in a trial.

CRUNCHY Aspel at Tailem too?? How is Tailem pulling in all these players? Bruce Carter has given up his salary at Karoonda to play at Tailem too.

Good news for a proud club who has struggled for a few years.

I've heard Wayne Gilgen (ex Murray Bridge Redlegs player and coach for 3 month before the club folded) is Callington's new coach. Will be interesting to see if he takes any RMFL players with him.

Rhys Jordan is a huge talent in the right company and has some half-bros who can also play a bit. Rhys can dominate anywhere; totally wasted at Cally in recent years. Full credit to him for doing his thing on home turf, but deserves much higher company
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Reece & his brothers credibility have been shot to hell in the past week!! They May be able to play, but who signs with two clubs in two days both contracts & clearances. This is what has apparently happened & if true is not good for any of the parties involved. To stand up at a club dinner & announce that they will be playing for a club in the following season, then go on that clubs footy trip, then sign with that club, but then sign with a different club the very next day, speaks volumes.

Their credibility is fine pigskin, who can knock them, these guys are doing what is right for them!they maybe leaving because of a chane to all play together something that may not have been done before or an option at mypo, They could need the money (if any) which maybe mypo arent paying!

Every club is trying to steal/sign players from different clubs and you cant say that you club isnt so stop with the sour grapes. this stuff happens this time every year so IMO 2 options(1)either counter the offer, to make them stay or (2)let them go! if they dont want to be there dont stay. (pretty simple!!)

This is what happens when players feel clubs dont look after "players" from the previous year they look somewhere else and it allows for some one to jump up and take players from underneath you! (common practice in football)

Also told rhys signed after being told porkys about his brother already signed, if that is the way a club gets signatures (By missleading information)well no wonder players are on the way out!

From what i hear they also know some of the recruits coming down!

Spoke to a bloke from Mypo (in the know) on the weekend who said that Wallfried signed a concrete 2 year contract last year, so maybe not so misleading
Wish it wasn't true tho as both would be handy in the Black & White,

Wow, so this means Tailem Bend have picked up 4 qualitiy zero pointers.

Muffy Kartinyeri, Michael John Kropinyeri, Crunchie Aspel and Andrew Coombe. All 0 points!!

Then there is the reduced pointer, Laurie Rankine, who is 2 points after a year out of the game.

These 4 guys returning to Tailem, without the recruitment of Dent. There are just plently of players wanting to play at the club. Like Jason Marcs... Or gun Imperial Michael Sumner. Not contracted or recruited by Tailem or Denty, but lured by mates or the want to play at Tailem Bend.

And its known that Hogarth has knocked back a few offers to play for money, and reported to be the case for Gregurke and I also know there is pressure on Kreguer (who has decided to stay) to play in the Mallee for more money than Tailem would ever offer an 18 year old. Also the case for Bruce Carter.

The only new face that I can see that Denty has bought in is Comer.... Correct me if I'm wrong?

Perhaps this is the begining of the formation of a tight bunch, capable of taking it up to anyone in the RMFL.

Drama - M Thomas, vickers, gabb, bell, lynch, linke and wilky (is he playing again this year?) were brought up by dent. I think you are right that comer is the only new bloke this year.

Great that all the players you have mentioned have come/returned to the club for various reasons. Has made his recruiting a lot easier.
