A tip for those punting on the pga golf tour tournaments.

Go to the webite called Golf Monthly and the tipster there gives you a great run down on five golfers per tournament he thinks should play well. He took dustin johnson last tournament and knows his golf.

In a field of 160 sometimes narrowing that to 5 is pretty helpful. i'm sure he won't win every week but once every now and then is good at some huge prices!

Looks like Mickelson has pulled a Greg Norman, after carding a 9 under round, he's 3 over on the final round to be 2 behind with a hole to play with Steve Stricker leading ... Mickelson had 6 shots on him overnight!!

My bets look to be knackered unless Sabbatini can pull something ridiculous out on his last 2 holes*

Only his second tournament back but do like the Tiger at $3.75 for this weekend's CA championship while Camilo Villegas represents some good each way value (top 5 is a place) at $26.

Like Tiger Woods at $3.25 to win the Arnold Palmer event (formerly Bay Hill Invitational). I know, I know, it's the obvious choice and it's only his third event back from injury but he has won this event 4 times.
Nick Watney would be the best each way bet at $41 as he's in great form at the moment and Angel Cabrera at $126 wouldn't be the worst either.

Aside from the betting keep an eye out for 17 year old japanese amatuer Ryo Ishikawa ($401) as he's being pumped up as the next big thing and he's already got his spot in the US Masters in a few weeks time.

Charles Howell III at $34 - model of consistency without winning. Good young player still not 30

Given that top 5 pays for place, they are worth having each way.

For long time golf fans, Greg Norman is playing this event as a tune up for the Masters and he's at $126.

Couldn't agree more lucas glover is a young up and coming golfer rated as a long driver at $6:50 to make the top 10 in houston.

Other tips include last years winner Johnson Wagner , Paul Casey and Rory Mcilroy.

May need to get on an early starter on day one as the wind is expecting to pick up in the afternoon.

No good last week but once again you'd have to pick the Tiger ($2.75) for this as it's like his home deck and the continual lengthening of the course is playing into his hands even more.

Also like the inform Nick Watney ($51) again and Phil Mickelson ($9) will have to be respected as the course is really set up for lefty's now which brings me to Bubba Watson. If this guy gets it together at $251 look out - he's a lefty, longest hitter in the field and if he can play smart golf, don't be surprised to see him in mix come Saturday afternoon.

Only guys of ours I think are in with any show are Geoff Ogilvy ($14) and Aaron Baddely ($81) who's great putting can bring him into contention on perhaps the most unforgiving greens in US golf.

For the this week's Crowne Plaza Invitational there's a top 10 category for which i'll have a stab at Jason Day at $12.50 - playing for his card next year in limited starts this year so he has a bit to play for.
