I wouldn't be writing the Bloods off, i think their depth will be a little bit down this year, they'll miss Ewer and Bayliss, and they prob won't be able to top up too much throughout the year due to the points system, but i would think they'd be certain top 4. Mannum i think will be a good chance for the grand final given they apparently haven't lost anyone from last year and they have good depth/juniors. The x factor will be how their new coach settles in though. Of course Ramblers can't be written off either despite losing Button and Morris.

I agree, Imps are looking good on the track & should be strong this year, as will be Mannum with some very good recruits. but it would be a very silly decision to write off the 2 Grandfinal sides of last year. Ramblers have terrific depth & with a midfield that has 2 Oneils, Weyland, Viney & a few others running through it, plus Jackson, & Girardi as your tall forwards, they will still take some stopping. Mypolonga have lost 2 Pedlers & Flinn, but supposedly replaced them with 2 guys who have both been on AFL lists, & a young lad from the Hills who is the brother of Wallfried who took Imps apart last year, plus with blokes like Lynne, Eckermann, & Martin still there. So I cant see them losing too much ground.

I think you will find Goldberg that Martin won't play for Mypo this year and the bloke they had almost signed from the hills you are talking about also will not line up in the Black and Gold. I have been talking to some Mypo people and they have lost 6 or 7 including 2 Pedlers, Flynn, Martin and Panda and replaced them with Coulter and White from North Adelaide plus a lot of kids. Also have heard the Giradi will not be playing at Ramblers this year.

Shhhh is that the brains trust of Karoonda trying to find more info about the 9th player they have chased from Mypo??? Really does seem to look more like resentment rather then recruitment going on.

BB08 as for Martin- he's coaching the U/17's at Mypo so would think he will be playing there!!

What are you on about Pigskin?
Just a curious player seeking info on a player that there are rumours flying about.
No brains trust here!
Who are the other 8 players and what are they all like?

PREMIERSHIP FAVOURITE?
MAIL MEDAL FAVOURITE?

mine would be

PREMIERSHIP FAVOURITE? Imperials alot of imperial players have started there weights and fitness training before the end of october an training 3 nights a week as a team with turn outs of 25 each time, this is a real big turn around and they have recruited really well same a taliem thats why iv put them as the Dark Horse to make the Grandy Grand Final Imperials vs Taliem Bend.
MAIL MEDAL FAVOURITE? Luke Harrowfield, he has taken over the Assistant Coach/Player role at Imps and has never been fitter than he is now, i was talking to his mate Rog Puckridge an he says he is of the Alchol for the footy season, so we will see at difrent Luke this year,

all hoping the Premiership goes the Blues way they have worked hard so far.

PREMIERSHIP: Imperials.

GRAND FINAL: Imperials V Tailem Bend

Mail Medal: T Rigney (Jervois), M Kartinyeri (Tailem Bend) and D Hogarth (Tailem Bend) are my early favourites.

I went and had a look out at Tailem training tonight (should have got out there and had a kick but still too early haha) and I must say, they are looking impressive!! Muffy looks in fine form and the team seems to lift around him. I heard Dillon Hogarth being called "White-Muff" Gregerkie "Wog-Muff" which I found amusing, its sounds like they all want to be like Muff out there, which can only be a good thing. They got a bloke out there who is bigger than Gabb maybe it was that Coma they are going on about? I didnt even recognise Rankine he has lost so much weight and think I saw Michael J Kroppy running around which took me back to Tailem in the 90s. What's the word on young Mike Sumner? He was out there running fine looking really good maybe surjery rumors are wrong. Lynch was out there and some bald bloke with really good skills caught my eye, is he new??? I reckon theyll shake up the comp this year.

Did you played at Tailem last year, or in years gone by??

Tailem seem to have really built up a list out of no where! Last year they were playing average imports and locals just to fill numbers but it seems this has changed around.

Quality paid players:
RADIS - Ex league player, current fitness coach at the Bays.
LYNCH - 2nd in B&F last year.
GABB - HUGE, needs work, but will get support this year. Still only young.
VICKERS - Almost a local now, 3 years with the club, stringing some good games together.
COMER - BIG wraps on this bloke!!
THOMAS - The better of the Thomas boys (FAR BETTER)
ROBERTSON - Had a disappointing 08, due to injury, but is quick and can play.
BELL - Spent a long time around a League club, Tailem will really be hoping he can step it up!!

Returning locals/Blokes from this League:
KARTINYERI - Best country player I have ever seen.
KROPINYERI - Premiership player with the Eagles.
RANKINE - By all reports dropped alot of weight, was damaging at full weight, can only mean better out of him.
SUMNER - Injured but will bob up and produce the magic he has displayed for a long time at Imps.

Locals:
DOWNS - Captain, president, Tailem Bend mayor may as well be!
HOGARTH - B&F last year, still real young, plenty of pace.
HANSEN - Gun.
GREGURKE - Small, fast, decided not to take payment at Karoonda.

16 players who I think would make most teams in the league.

Goblin the bald bloke is Vickers who has been at TB for the past two seasons. I think that's not the only place he has shaved for certain reasons??? The big bloke is not comer, he is a mate of Gabbs and looks quiet handy but hasn't played footy for five years. Comer is still yet to attend training due to his accident, but have been told he will be at tailem next week. Muffy has certainly lifted the spirit of all the locals and the adelaide boys cant' wait to play footy with him. With all the other players returning and the few recruits added to last years side, the pressure will be on Dent to see if he can come up with the goods. Only time will tell??????????

Drama you forgot about links, who is capable of shutting down quality forwards and can rebound the footy. Also Andrew Coombe will be available for many more games this year
