The movie 'Wanted'

Postby whufc » Wed Dec 10, 2008 12:15 pm

Watched this movie last night stars Angleina Jolie, i was impressed with the special effects but had a very weak story line IMHO.

I enjoyed it but had heards lots and lots of hype such as it being the next generation on from the Matrix movie so probably expected a tad to much, so felt slightly cheated but an ok watch

People thoughts?

My thoughts are pretty much the same as yours mate ... Was a reasonable enough "popcorn" flick, but I think they could have made it better.

On that same evening I then watched "Taken" which IMHO was a far more engrossing film and perhaps that reflects on my opinion of Wanted.

No :( But im not a fan of Jolie looks wise (more a Jessica Alba kind of man ;) ) but have to admit she oozes sexy appeal the whole way through. Worth watching if Jolie is your thing.

You're right whufc. The storyline is shit.
I like movies that are at least a little bit believable!

Agreed DB, I thought Taken kept you interested right the way through, unlike the other.

It didn't have to rely on special effects to keep you interested either. A pretty basic plot, but very effective.

Taken was full of too many neck chops for my liking. The first 40 or so minutes sets it up really well then he turns into Steven Seagal and jus chops any neck within a 10 ft radius. I enjoyed it though so still worth watching but thought it went a little overboard.
