Ultimately means nothing, I mean I think it says a lot about how meaningless it is when the only side to knock the indigenous side off is the woeful Essendon outfit. Good to see Johncock up and about, Armstrong and Cook look the goods!

I'll still watch the delayed telecast tonight, looking forward to getting a better look at how these kids are progressing.

The Pies had a very strong side in last night. The Eagles had a few out and the commentators were going on about Hunter, Wirrpunda and Hansen not being there. However, Wirrpunda is about forty years old, Hansen is a squib and Hunter is not the most consistent going around. I reckon the Weagles are going to struggle big time this season although Kerr looked good when he came on.

REB in fairness to the eagles, they did play alot of there kids for the majority of the game. Cox was up forward for a good part of the night leaving Sullivan and Seaby working the ruck. So at this stage its probably not all doom and gloom for the eagles.

I've only seen it once, and it's unfortunate the WC lad (McGinitty??) ended up with an injury, but surely Maxwell is ok there?

rekon maxwell should be fine. the kid had the ball, maxwell kept his elbow tucked, maybe a slight issue if they deem it front on deliberate contact, and if they say he got off the ground.

but the commentators reeled off about 15 names that would be in their best 22 that weren't playing last night, so i wouldnt exactly write them off just yet, and collingwood had a pretty decent lineup.

The Maxwell incident was just a good hip and shoulder, nothing more in it.

I quite enjoyed the coverage of the Crows game last night, it wasn't a bad game to watch too.

WCE never put too much emphasis on the NAB Cup so i would not read too much into it.

Hansen is very important to the Eagles, he straightens them up and when fit (Which is not nearly enough) and firing the Eagles win a lot more games than they lose.

Kerr is looking in brilliant knick throughout the clubs Pre Season campaign, Still have the best Ruckman in the competition and have a brilliant younger brigade who are largely unknown but are extremley talented.. Wont be expecting too much this year (Prob 8-12 IMO) but look out in the next 2-3, this side will not be down for long..

West Coast don't put much emphasis on the NAB, but Collingwood don't either. I know it's only February but I don't have the Eags in my top eight.

Really enjoyed this game. There were positives from both sides in my view, Fremantle looked very cohesive at times but in reality they were only kept in it by the nine pointers. Richmond looked pretty slick in the second half but their first half effort showed the poor disposal that this team has become known for. Once they started hitting targets and working harder their more experienced combination was always going to salute.

Someone didn't tell the Dockers this though and that last quarter was a great effort by them. Richo is a dead set freak and I reckon Foley and Morton are going to have huge years.

Yeah Morton was very good as well. He is a bloke with a huge amount of potential and if he can keep control of his ego then look out because he is all talent. His foot skills are brilliant and his decision making and nous around goal is something to watch out for. Will become a very very good player if he can keep certain areas in check.
