How is that a poor comment.

The juniors are important, but why? To build a successful A grade, that's what it amounts to.

rossco has plenty of respect and built a great relationship with players last year, sam mac ,as eski said and, also hammond were prime examples.
was true that it was a tough decsion not to let sambo play both grades but payeed off as we won both. alls well that ends well.
i think everyone overestimates waybacks money, we dont have pokeys like souths, doug like bostons, were not KDFC and arn't a community club like rangers. and well dont get quite the funding of MP. all from sponsors.

As for comments relating to the under 17's v A grade issues last year well I think the vote is in, and with both grades going top then it was obviously the correct decision. Only player unrest that was evident last year was among 'fringe' players who thought they deserved an A grade shot. Many of them have moved on this year so their new clubs can deal with those issues.
Sure pre-season is tough, but isn't it meant to be? Results from last year winning the entire first round, which ultimately set up our premiership, point to a reward for effort.
Comments relating to TRR's package ( ) are either misguided or sh1t stirring.
Going rate in Port Lincoln is $4-5000 with probably another $1-2k in the offing for finals participation/premierships.
TRR signed a 2 year contract last year, and being a first year coach was positioned right in the middle of that salary range... He would have loved to get $10k but our club was not in a position to pay that sort of ridiculous figure...and being the club man that he is would not have asked in the first place. ...

...by the way the majority of his 'salary' was put straight back into the players by way of player nights at the club, training gear and funding mad monday celebrations.....probably cost him closer to $10k in actual fact.

Oh dear........ :?

As for Dom Petrenko, just rang a mate of mine at the Bullants and he has never heard of him. Even looked on the database which goes back 3 years.
Probably will end up at south tho...they have a record of signing the wrong brother...

Doug like bostons? what does this mean? Dougie Mac does a lot of work around the place but does not have the capabilities to offer what the other clubs do. We all pinch in at tigerland and share the workload.

Ron is on around $6,000 per annum but they don't coach for the money. I have coached hockey for free and money is not an issue. Its about taking your club and improving it and hopefully some fun and success follows.
This subject is boring time to move on.
