That was the problem - first the Saxons then the Anglo-Saxons went rooting everywhere

haha...we arrived a bit late for the party...only got here about 150 years ago.
Back on topic...one film I can and do happily watch again and again is Galaxy Quest...no idea why but I love it. On the subject of sci-fi I thought Serenity was fantastic...love the humour in it.

Re: Good Movies
Does anyone know the name of the recent film that is about a man from India who wins a million dollars (or something like that)? Supposed to be pretty good.

saw Valkyrie last night - enjoyed the movie, not sure that Tom Cruise should have been in it though

Death Race.
Great moofie.
Reminded me of that great PC game Death Rally from the 90s.
But with Jason Statham.
And more death.

In Bruges.
Darkly funny. Some good laughs with a dark motif.
While elements of the script were funny, I thought it weird that Colin Farrell, an Irishman, was sounding like an American acting like an Irishman. If that makes sense....

I saw in on a flight in November - one of those 9 hour flights where you cant sleep or get pissed. It was very good and I was disappointed when it finished. Belgium is such an exiting place. There are 3 types of retial premises - Bar........chocolate shop and lingerie shop....all within 10 metres - f#@$%îng fantastic. No wonder they seem so boring. Go out and lager up, grab a chocolate bar and a teddy and piss off home at 10pm

Re: Good Movies
Wife and I saw Gran Torino on Saturday night. Well worth watching, although I knew nothing about it going in and no real expectations on what it was going to be like.
