I would have picked Rogers before Jacques. Jacques has no recent form whatsoever to base picking him on.

I would have picked Klinger before Rogers and Jacques...... I personally think Rogers is over-rated.

Jaques couldn't 'back up' Dutchman.

No 'danger' of selecting a decent squad eh?

Nah i'll look at his most recent first class innings. If it was last test innings i'd be wanting Greg Chappell in the side.

Whilst i agree with you dutchy am i correct in saying that was over 12 months ago?

Jaques was certainly ahead of Rogers he needs to make 1300 runs a season to be a sniff IMO

Not sure Jaques was shafted. He would still be very much in the minds of the selectors but he has only just returned, he didn't make any runs and he pulled up sore. Too big a risk for this tour. He will get another chance at some stage i'm sure.

Thats it. He needs runs on the board before getting back in the side. Can't be selected on form from a year ago.

Klinger should have been picked if it's going on current form

A warning warning for this dangerous precedent.

Just put your thinking cap on, had W Robinson played in a test match in South Africa imagine this dismissal
W Robinson c Smith b Harris

And better still if he plays the last domestic shield game against new south wales this season
this dismissal
W Robinson c D Smith !!!

You'll need a lot of luck cos Katich has been making a lot of runs whilst not many others have. He isn't going anywhere for a while yet Dutchy.
