I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

After being away for work for 2 weeks and lobbing to training last night I just have to say - FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK !!!!!!! We're going to need that second oval sooner rather than later !! I'd hate to make a guess as to how many were out at trainign last night but 80 wouldn't be over counting surely....

I think 80 would be about right Choc. Interesting to see young scudds out as well. Not sure what the go there is. Will make for some interesting developments in coming weeks

Good to see speedy progress on the clubrooms.

Really looking forward to the Trials. Lots of depth in the A-Grade squad. Bummer about Seats. Knee reco ive heard.

And they are happy for him to train at a different club ?? One where his brother plays ?? Surely you could get fit doing other things without having to go to another clubs training sessions......

And yes a knee reco for Seats.... he's devastated..... got his foot caught on the matting running in to bowl.... he's not sure he wants to have it done right away though or wait 3 or 4 months but I would think having it done as soon as you can is the way to go so you are already 3 months into rehab by the time you would have had it done ??? Anyone ??

I Cant see any problem with as long as he comes home...... it shows he is willing to put in the extra yards. Some (incl me) find it easier to work hard in a group than push yourself to the limits on your own so i think its great. I think Jolly did a similar thing a few years ago at Kersbrook if i remember rightly.

Seats is that the captain of the ruckman?

Yeah FS I guess each to their own.... I'm not knocking him cos any young lads who make an effort to improve are worth their weight in gold.

Seats was a wingman. Kicks either foot with ease, gutsy and hard running. A vital member of the team. Was the player in doubt for last years GF with the hammy...

I saw Scuddsy out a couple of times before christmas but I have been interstate for the last 2 weeks so may have missed him then. Did see him at the BDO and he looked like he had been working out.......... ???????
Big Scotty Peterson will be fine. Has been out quite alot and looks good. As for his knees, I'm not too sure but he'll be a huge advantage for us. Shame about Seats though cos he's also a top guy to have around the club... but we have about 40 in the A grade squad so plenty of people keen and ready to step up.

It was hard to miss Scuddsy.... I was actually following him for shade !!!
Tommy will have a cracker year me thinks.... A year in the A's would have given him plenty of experience and ensure he plays smart and has a good year.

I think your right about tommy o choc.
I think it takes a while to adjust between 19's SANFL and A-grade. Body size, skill level and pace of the game are huge differences between the two leagues. If the younger guys on the squad continue to improve at the rate we have perviously seen we will be more than competitive. Im am under no illusion that it will be smooth sailing though. At some stage this year i think we will feel a ceiling effect. Something that hasnt bothered us in the past two season.

What i think we will have this year even more than last is a group of 10 or so guys that will be able to seamlessley step into the A's (through injury or poor form) with no real detriment to the overall strength of the side. I CANT WAIT FOR TRIALS!

Yeah good call BB. Just the improvement in skills, experience and body strength in guys like Tommy, Shents, Dale, Lepka, Patty Mac, Jay, Boxer, Jimmy K, Furno, Mossy, Gareth will be vital for a good year.... these guys will have some tough moments but there should be a few knocking on teh door putting pressure on them each week and that pressure is a positive thing !!

Talking to a mate at training this week, he said that the Kookaburras are playing Macclesfield in a trial game, any truth to that? Maybe Choccies v Terminator would be a match up.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?
