I guess some people think winning a game of cricket in a very minor comp where basically anyone who bothers to rock up can play in is important. I know because i have played in A1 before and i can assure you i am shithouse.
Obviously played in a SHITHOUSE team then...
Have no idea what era you may have played your s***t cricket in, but certainly mid late 90s A1 was extremely strong.
May not be quite as strong overall now, but still the premier comp outside of SACA..
Okay, i was a bit harsh but my point is that no-one is playing for sheep stations and players welfare is more important than a game of cricket.
A1 is a good standard but i won't apologise for saying i am shithouse![]()
MAte for some of us in the later stages of our careers we do consider a premiership (of which I have only previously won one of ) a Sheep station and are keen to get it. A bit of heat is not goign to hurt anyone who prepares correctly.
The standard is very good these days, lots of veterans from district coming back enjoying their cricket without it taking up all fo their weekend. Very tough standard and there are no easy games.
