Rogers is no threat to Hughes. Jaques is the only one who could keep him out.

Big positive though was Fergy. Great knock under enormous pressure. It is great to see him taking on the responsibility he did today. He knew it was up to him and he delivered. He will get better and better from here and SA might not see that much more of him.

Ferguson has really come of age lately, before, i heard his name every now and then, but now, when i think of the Redbacks, i think of Ferguson.

2-3 years back I'd say, he was touted as a future Australian prospect but didn't really go on with it, he had the talent but lacked the mental strength to turn starts into big scores. Finally he is starting to turn that around and you can see what a talented player he is. I can't wait for the day he makes his Australian debut.

He has matured a lot this season.

Ever since Ferguson scored a ton of runs in England in one of the lower competitions (last year?), he's been sensational since returning to the Redbacks.

This question must be raised, did the skipper cost us victory ?
victoria were 3/91 off 15.1 overs
Haberfield 3/34 off 6 overs and had taken all the wickets
victoria needed 109 off 209 balls [and would win irrespective of my argument 9 times out of ten]

however bearing in mind this game was going to finish at about the 40 over mark [37.4 overs in fact] why dont we bowl the best 4 bowlers and try and bowl the oppostion out ?

Haberfield who was in a brilliant spell was rested
why not bowl the kid out if he gets Mcdonald or White out its 4/100 odd and a show of winning ?

Instead part timers Christian [but is bowling ok of late] and Obrien bowled 9 overs each before Haberfield was brought back at 4/196 !!!

If Haberfield was injured then that would be a valid reason
If he was not injured then questions must be raised

Although he took some wickets, Haber struggled to find a good line to the left-handers, everything was on middle to leg, they got him away with ease, he bowled some great balls amongst them though. He wasn't a lone soldier though, we may aswell have put 9 fielders on the leg-side if we were going to bowl that line.

Ive played a lot of cricket with Jake and for once he actually was running in and hitting the crease. Jake has finally got some confidence at the higher level and i think he may have been trying a tad to hard last night.

I agree bowled middle and leg but i think he was the best of the bowlers by far and actually looked liked he belonged at that level when he got it right. Cleary was terrible and Kano is just a pup.

I hope Jake keeps charging in it will come.
