Spider Sharman has played for us his whole life Donkey so I wouldn't really count him as an in although he did carve up the track tonight so look for a big year from him.
As for the Full Forward, well I too have played my whole life at United but if you're gonna count me as an in, well I'll take that as a compliment. ;)

Just curious who is spider sharman? His name comes up regularly but dont remember watching him having a run around.

Are you playing for the Pies again next year Old School or are you gonna head SOUTH in search of more coin?????
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

This is the post i was refering to SD.

Just don't think anyone from Mallala should be making judgments on other clubs clearing players.

Fair enough. I'll stand down. So are you saying that this would be an easy process for Mallala to carry out?

If Mallala win the flag this year, Im sure "jnr earl" will be happy to go to United....... for a beer on Mad Monday with Moon Unit and MC, might even buy one for Droppie!! He'd have to go via Dublin Pub again though.

Otherwise might be a bit of egg on his face after shooting his mouth off about how Mallala have changed their clearance policy since the Matt East disgrace of 5 years ago. And how he now portrays them as this wonderful understanding club that only has the players interest at heart.... ;)

Ha ha, Easty probably had the same impact this year as the year he sat out!

mate got me confused for someone else. my days of playing for shits and giggles are past... by the way dont think the pies pay that much out. I think u will find that they recruit players on the strength of the quality people at the club! you can throw shit at them but they are successful in so many other ways.

By the sounds of it if Hummocks havent been paying blokes now might be a good time to get the cheque book out Ace, sounds like he can play a bit. Also getting a younger bloke is always handy as they usually stick around for a few years.

Is that Mallala'a Policy SD? Pay bucks to young blokes hoping they hang around later on? I thought you only recruited good honest people who play for the love of the guernsey! Must be writing out more cheques than the rest of us know about :?

All blokes we've had so far have had a connection to the club already, either family, good mates, or netballers... and thats the best way to get a bloke to play and stay. that's my tip for today. Everyone go out and make friends... why ya think I keep coming over to see you for a beer Swamp? No offence MC but im just plain thirsty when I come over to your place :D

As has happened in the past, the committee would reject the first clearance, call him in for a chat, try hard to sort out what problems, if any & try to convince him to stay. If he still wants to go & is financial then the clearance would be approved. Not on the committee anymore but that is what used to happen. MC can confirm if this is still the case?

I was happy to have had a beer with junior Earl after 2007 flag & would be more than happy to have a beer with him again. Love having beers with him in the summer too!
