Spider Sharman has played for us his whole life Donkey so I wouldn't really count him as an in although he did carve up the track tonight so look for a big year from him.
As for the Full Forward, well I too have played my whole life at United but if you're gonna count me as an in, well I'll take that as a compliment.

Just curious who is spider sharman? His name comes up regularly but dont remember watching him having a run around.

Faulkner to Mallala in two years, after his two-year non-association with United, there will be no need for a clearance from United to Mallala, which would never happen otherwse. This is why Mallala didnt have a chance of getting him for this season anyway. mmm... searle forward pocket, Faulkner on a wing would look OK in black and white

Strong rumour that a handy young Mallala player about 19/20 wants a clearance to United. If this is true, I reckon old swampy would be hoping they clear him. Otherwise might be a bit of egg on his face after shooting his mouth off about how Mallala have changed their clearance policy since the Matt East disgrace of 5 years ago. And how he now portrays them as this wonderful understanding club that only has the players interest at heart....

mate got me confused for someone else. my days of playing for shits and giggles are past... by the way dont think the pies pay that much out. I think u will find that they recruit players on the strength of the quality people at the club! you can throw shit at them but they are successful in so many other ways.

By the sounds of it if Hummocks havent been paying blokes now might be a good time to get the cheque book out Ace, sounds like he can play a bit. Also getting a younger bloke is always handy as they usually stick around for a few years.

All blokes we've had so far have had a connection to the club already, either family, good mates, or netballers... and thats the best way to get a bloke to play and stay. that's my tip for today. As has happened in the past, the committee would reject the first clearance, call him in for a chat, try hard to sort out what problems, if any & try to convince him to stay. If he still wants to go & is financial then the clearance would be approved. Not on the committee anymore but that is what used to happen. MC can confirm if this is still the case?

I was happy to have had a beer with junior Earl after 2007 flag & would be more than happy to have a beer with him again. Love having beers with him in the summer too!
