i think bostons will pick up CAS 2, another very handy pick up sounds like the tiger train is full steam ahead!! better hope they all bond together!! , you would hate for bascombe to come in and sleep with some of the players girlfriends

Edna Clark announced his retirement on Saturday night after about 20 beers. A very sad day for all at Tumby.

Contrary to popular belief LF it wasn't his whale that made the call there. It was a certain tutor.

i'd hate to see him go to bostons personally.
would be disheartening to see what money can do.

skipper46, I would love to know that answer myself.

Just because players start to sign with a certain club and they beat clubs like WFC, MR and KDFC it must because of money????

Yes the tigers have a bad past, but get out of your fish bowls and now realise, other than premiership success the tigers now offer a club exciting to be a part of.

ladder predictions for 2009:

Waybacks - stronger than ever.
Mallees - always around the mark, youngsters to take another step.
Bostons - good recruiting.
Tasmans - around the mark again.
Rangers - no new signings and have lost plenty.
Souths - slight improvers.

Thoughts?

i think bostons have done well this year with sighnings n good luck to them !its only going to make plfl a srtonger and more of an exciting league. ounce you sighn a couple of good players other players jump on board and if ya have to pay some money so what ,i came from a club with a backround like bostons and it was hard to get players to come to your club when you have a bad culture n loose alot of games,so to hear that they have sighned some good players means they must be doing something right there at tiger land ,dont get me wrong i still want to smash them....... drove past waybacks training last night to have a nosie n they had about 30 out n there were some big lads out there!!! going to be an interesting year i think !!

I totally agree. I posted a few months ago about how it goes in cycles or seasons of success and then difficult times, nowadays is no different, Bostons have been belted from pillar to post(excluding previous two years) for at least the last ten years and now its their turn to attempt at turning something promising pre-season into end of year results. Someone will have to spend time at the bottom for a while, its just the way it happens. The way its looking Tasmans could well be the next Bostons...They may have depth this year and possibly next but with not many quality juniors to draw from, it might be tough yards for the boys at Ravendale in the not too distant future. Marble Range could be in trouble, their juniors have had a rough time of it recently too. Who knows whats going to happen..... but enough of the future and back to this year!

Tasmans have a good list but they always have, Marble Range might struggle i reckon, Mallee Park same as always, Souths quantity/quality unknown 8) , Waybacks will be hunted :axe:
Bostons expectations are through the roof
