Sounds like W missing a core group, but WTF? THat's a belting.
2 horse race for sure by the looks.
Any red and blue able to tell us if those blokes will return for finals?
Elliston...VERY hard accusation to prove, but sh#t, doesn't put your club in a good light.

Massive games this week in PL, whats everyones thought on some likely outcomes......
LS $1.60 v T $2.10
MP $2.50 v MR 1.45

Flag odds
MR $1.60
MP $3
W $5
any other $51

A confident wcp sticks by his comments..... 'print the shirts now'.... a lot of things can happen between now and GF day tho buddy. they have not lost a game in the As or Bs for 8 games. Fitzy has engraved the two trophies already so why not print up a few shirts.

gr8 night at the club on Saturday night and hats go off to Rangers, not just for their effort on the field but they way they embraced to night. A big thankyou from our bank manager!!! With the amount of Rangers partying till all hours of the morning you could have been excused for thinking that Windsor Avenue had become an outpost of Planet Wangary...
Yes we did have a pretty handy bunch of players out, but even with them in I think we are 5 goals off the Rangers.....would need a lot to go right for us and a helluva lot to go wrong for rangers to be competitive. Jarod Doudle and Dan Keely the X factors for them...playing keely on the wing...how rude is that!Very good on ball, no fuss defence and a very simple forward structure that allows Brodie heaps of space....i will say it for you panther PRINT THE T SHIRTS NOW. I did sense a touch of Mallee Mind Set which is a bit of a worry....a team with 13 u/21's doesn't need to allow any room for intimidation....all fixed if Akers comes back tho.
Last but not least, a word on Brodie. He is the most exciting player I have seen in this area for many years. Has worked on his kicking which was his major flaw. This kid is worth the admission fare alone and is the type of player that will draw people to the game. If you haven't seen him yet, then do yourself a favor andmake an effort (soon) before its too late.

Yep congrats to Rangers for supporting the night, was a bloody good turn out.
Too good in the B Grade as well, overpowered us in the end, although was a close contest until early in the 3rd.
Alot of interest now in the result of the MR v's MP B Grade game. I see MP kicked a large score on the weekend.

yes Mallees Bs looking good bish.... with Egor, Jones, Coulthard, Minya, Eddie Betts, Horace, Males, McNamara they have a solid core group in the centre which is unrivaled in the comp.... their worry is the key positions....Jack has done an achillies and wont play again.... Anthony Smith can play the game when swithed on and Trumby goes OK in the backlines but they give the opposition a real chance with their lack of manning up and suspect defence.... can Ewie Harding, Tony Bugoyne, Alban and the old grey haired fella hold up back there?
wheres the GFFL GF played this year???.... all Rangers will be able to make it as they will have that weekend off.

thats a big call dickiebird!! i was at the game and being from mid west, no one up here has heard that story. don't think there's much truth in it at all. elliston had quite a few out with injury as well as three fellas overseas. As for wudinna being the form team of the competition...its a big call. they won 3 of their last six matches. very tight finish to the minor round, elliston finishing top and only percentage separating west coast hawks, central eyre, wirrulla and wudinna- which resulted in them missing out on a finals berth by 2%. west coast hawks to be the surprise packet, just hitting some form at the right time as always.

I'm a regular reader of this thread (grew up in Lincoln in the 70's) but generally dont post.

I noticed Bryant kicking a bag of goals for Bostons on the weekend, i'm surprised that not much has been mentioned about this?? I presume this is the LS guy?? Did he get special permission to transfer to Bostons, given that its past the halfway mark of the year? The whole situation just seems a little strange to me, although i did read someone say that he was a player who was prepared to go to Bostons to give them an on field boost..

If you grew up here in the 70's you'd probably remember Springs Bryant. Darren is his son, different to Johnny Bryants lad Darren from Souths!!

Just read the paper at lunch, had no idea Bostons were in front at quarter time and apparently even 10 mins into the second quarter. Bet there were a few bums twitching at the Taco coaches box!!

If Tasmans A's lose this week, will they stack their B's the following week to hang on to second? If Mallee's beat us this week and Waybacks beat Tasmans in the last round, Mallee's will be second and I don't want that!!

We stack our As every week, with B graders!!!

Don't think you have too much to worry about Panther.. I would think that we have about 6-7 blokes to come in from last game and all would have played a handful of A grade games this year combined.. Like Barney, Shaun Ambrose, DD Wright, Luke Gardner, Josh Boyd..

Oh ok, you'll have to excuse me there, then. Just was surprised that Bostons had a multiple goalkicker (haven't noticed this guy kick any goals in previous weeks), and thought it must be the LS guy who wasn't in the goalkickers this round just gone for the Eagles.

I was only 7 in 79 when my family moved away, so can only just remember a few of the old LS identities, and thats about all.
