ODI Australia vs New Zealand at the WACA

Postby hearts on fire » Sat Jan 31, 2009 12:00 pm

The game is tomorrow, everyone knows Australia are in a pretty bad way, but you would think they should beat the Kiwi's.

No doubt The Kiwi's will give the Aussie's a run for their money, but Australia still have a bit more class than the Kiwi's.

Australia to win..... in a tight tussle.

New Zealand are absolute rubbish. Unless McCullum makes 200 and Vettori takes 10 wickets we will smash them.

Before we start labelling other countries as rubbish, should we look at some of the crap we have dished up this summer. SAF are the best test and one day team in the world.
We would be (with our currrent team) in ODI's be about say 3rd or 4th.

Look at the result against New Zealand in the Test series. We are not that good but still smashed them. They lost to the PM's XI FFS and easily too. Without McCullum's ton the game would have an embarrassment. NZ are shite at best.

On paper we should win, but we are certainly not playing as well as we can so it could be a close series.

In one respect you are saying we dished up crap, but then it was against the best team in the world,so is it crap or not?

i think the kiwis are a huge chance to win the series, although the WACA should suit the aussies more

It puzzles me why Marsh faces the first ball. Warner is the more explosive batsman.
I don't think Gilly was up the non strikers end too often.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.
