Our dog ( Beasely ) lives outside as 3 year old Beagles can cause chaos inside. His water bucket gets about a 1/3 of a bag of ice from the servo 3 times a day ( Mrs.Boon pops home at lunch to do the mid-day top up ) and when the sun has gone down enough he gets a cool bath before being fed and then lights out. I truly wish he would settle for long enough inside to stay there but we would not be able to leave him there all day by himself anyway.
The cat is a cat and if it goes and doesn't come back I don't care. ( It gets to share Beaseley's water )

I've got my neighbour to keep an eye on him tommorrow and stick an extra icy bucket of water out for them as well.
That's sad to hear about your chook Mickey![]()
There was a black spider living in my pergola for about a year I reckon (He doesn't try to get in the house which is the only reason he's lived this long)
However, the heat got the better of him today and I found him on the ground all scruched up.
RIP spidey...

You could always just leave it on or set it to come on at a certain time (if you have a timer that is).
