Since he's been there things have gone off the rails. I think he is giving punter to much control and having double standards between the senior players and the new kids. Thats just a rumour I hear within the group.

I take it then you re "within the group" yourself? Or is it just hearsay?
Anyway,I think the Australian team has just been narrowly beaten in a Test series by a team at the top of its game that boasts a quality bowling attack which we have not faced since the 2005 Ashes series. What happened there?
Our bowling stocks for this series were down with Stuart Clarke being injured. If we did have him I think we would have been better placed to have taken 20 wickets in Perth and Melbourne.
On Neilsen,I think he doing a good job.The selectors on the other hand have to answer some tough questions.
Siddle has done ok in the Test arena, but Hilfenhaus must be given a go IMO.
Hauritz is a defensive bowler at best and Krezja must be in the side ahead of Hauritz.Sure,Krezja may not hit the spot every ball but he rips it and tries to get wickets.
So put Clarke and Krezja in for Hauritz and Siddle.
Mr.Cricket is out of nick but will bounce back.
The other issue is Symonds, does he really want to play for Australia anymore?
All in all, being a little harsh on Neilsen for mine. When I see him next I'll send him to this thread....

Right, so being in the Australian side is bad for your cricket? Got it.

Exactly right, it shouldn't be it should furthur your development. You proved my point if Nielsen does his job and coaches senior players, not allow them to run there own race and not feel and look intimidated by them then young guys will benefit greatly and the senior players will get there fingers out and play how they should. John Buchanan was great at this and tested senior players. That was his strength. Nielsen is a glorified catch hitter throw down specialist.

You can hardly compare Nielsen to Buchanan. Buchanan was "coach" of one of the strongest sides to ever play the game. How much do you reckon he coached guys like McGrath, Warne, Waugh, Ponting, Langer, Hayden, Gillespie etc.? Ask Warne what he thinks of Buchanan and coaches at international level in general. You could have made John Howard coach of that side and you would have got the same result. Seriously if you were playing in the Australian side who would you have gone to for advice, Warne or Buchanan?
