Hey Saint you obviously play for Uri's, I presume you know some of the Eastern ranges Lads?

i know a couple of them why mate?

PLaying ER on Saturday and Ive copped verbals from them about abuse Ive thrown at Finchy and Hunsie on here.

After the game I chatted with Carl and it was all sorted but he did say he hadnt been on here just heard it 2nd or 3rd hand from someone who is on here

Im obviously pissed off that Im copping that when Ive said nothing defamatory against Carl or Hunsie.

Ive done a search back through the posts here and while others have had a crack at Carl, the worst Ive said is back in 07 Id prefer Aldgate to win the A3's over ER...thats it....and there is NOTHING about me commenting on Hunsie other than to say he is a great bat.

So I challenge whoever has said this to them to let me know either on here or privately what Ive said that made them open their mouths?

Anyone can search this forum without going back thru every post

Its obviously someone with a connection at Uris and ER

Hahndorf forfeited to Meadows.

Saint, Kersbrook weren't in much better form on Sunday. Kym Pearce was still drinking and had half a dozen before he hit Jarrad Tait over cow corner for 6. Should make for a good semi Uraidla v Kersbrook.

Maybe the Courier Cup has run its race. Personally i have enjoyed the concept with the games i have played in over the years BUT unless clubs are going to RESPECT the Couriers' sponsorship and promotion of country cricket, its better off abandoning it. Clubs Forfeiting and teams turning up Hungover doesn't showcase OUR country cricket in a good light.

SILKY, Did Hahndorf get the out right over Wistow?

totally agree jackpot jim. We had the same situation a couple of years ago when Nairne forefited. (I think)

It's a concept that has served it's purpose over the years but has run it's race....

Yes Nairne forfeited to Kersbrook a couple of years back when they put the qtr finals on the same weekend as the Adelaide Oval Test Match.

Whisper is the concept will be changed next season and the 20-20 format will come into fruition. Personally would like to see 16 or even 32 of the 'A' grade teams from the 3 associations in a knockout comp all done before Xmas. The Courier could seed the top 8 teams (e.g. Meadows, Lobey etc etc) and have 4 teams play on a Sunday at the same ground, with the undefeated team of the day to go through to the next round. With 32 teams competing, it could still all be done in 3 weeks. Obviously some tinkering would have to be done with the draw (Happy Valley to play Cambrai is a hike!), but would be a good money spinner for clubs, with 4 teams at the one ground. Ideally Clubs with 2 grounds (e.g. Echunga, Woodside Birdwood) would be better suited, as you could have 2 games at the one time, with the final of the day played straight after. And agree the 50 over match that starts at 1030am and finishes close to 5 (With drinks after) on a Sunday may have run it's race.
