Played footy from early primary school years. Was never any good at it. My early experience of footy consisted mostly of listening to the team get read out each week, vainly hoping to hear my name read out, and always being disappointed. After first year high school I realised I was fundamentally inept at the game and gave it up. This remains my biggest contribution to the sport.

Took up cricket in year 7. Scored a duck in every match except my final game that year, in which I scored 2 runs. Played the first half of year 8 and decided that my presence on the team was causing my teammates more angst than it was worth, so I gave it up. This remains my biggest contribution to the sport.

Tried SLSC (nippers) one summer during primary school. Hated it. Gave it up. This remains my biggest contribution to the sport.

Took up Aikido during my undergrad years. I sucked at it. But this time I persisted. Have now been going for 19 years.

a whole heap of basketball right up until i was 15. thats actually why i moved here from mildura, was sick of travelling 6 hours most weekends to go to bendigo for state team training. moved over here to play for SA, played 4 games for Forrestville, then quit!

loved footy all my life.l was missing it a bit much when i moved over here, and that was one of the biggest reasons oi quit basketball, so i could go back to footy.

but at school, i played a whole range of different sports, mainly just to get a couple days off school!

volleyball
beach volleyball
tennis
hockey
athletics
netball
table tennis
cricket
soccer

and probably a few others that i cant think of right now.

but basketball and footy have always been my true love

Sports/exercise I did outside of school.
New Zealand:
Athletics
Ballet
Australia:
Ballet for quite some years
Competitive swimming and swam for the state once (fly)
Water polo
Underwater hockey
Competitive life saving

Now as a oldie, I go to the gym every second day that involves weights, class and swimming. Mr MK has decided to take up surfing to cope with his mid-life crisis and I will be taking up golf, something I'm not too bad at but want to learn properly.

I feel sorry for the young people of today having to battle weight due to lack of exercise so it's good to see so many of the youngies on here doing it*.

Compared to most who i skate with, I'm crap.
Compared to someone really crap, I'm oK.

Skated heaps when i was young late 70s early 80s.
Stopped for about 20years then started again when they started building all these sick new parks six or so years ago.
Ive been in a few old school comps, mainly on the east coast but really just enter for the fun of it.

And I go in the Death Race each year at West Beach ( this year i plan to go one better than last year! )
Yeah, Naah,..... Bollocks!

At school...anything involving a ball* was a lost cause...almost no hand eye coordination (means I'm crap at art too :( )
Hockey
Lacrosse
Netball
Rounders
Cricket
Volleyball
Tennis
Athletics...long jump, sprint and hurdles (was 100yds back then), high jump...only thing I was actually good at til father started taking it all very, very seriously and it stopped being fun.

Since...
Darts for a pub team...until an extra-marital scandal hit the paper involving the team committee...all of them (NOT with eachother) and the team was kicked out of the league in disgrace
Horse riding...RAF got us a discount for lessons on condition we would join the 3 day eventing team...only lasted a year before they binned the plan...but I got lessons for practically nothing :D

Now...
Lazy bitch  ;)
Walking back from the supermarket in a headwind.

JAS

Had my skill level way over 2000 for Wii tennis but a wrist injury has recently had a negative impact on my performance.
