Looking at those photos brings back of memories of playing against and with most of those blokes in those 2 photos.

The only time I think we got to bat together Keefy was in Wollongong against NSW B in a match we shoulda won. Craig Eck', Pete Lambert and JM didn't make many in reply to their 150 or so. We fought out a 4th or 5th wicket partnership before I missed an off-cutter (leg-cutter to the lefty) which took my off stump for 30-odd. I think you made 20 or so that day, looked as good as ya ever did that Carnival, then played one bad shot and got out. Then we lost 3 or 4 in quick succession and in major strife. Steve Briene then played the innings of his life for 45 from #9, but we still fell short. Played our worst cricket against the worst team. Felt good to smash Southerns - and that bonehead Graeme Hole (whatta spanka!) - the last day though, even though you didn't get a bat..

Beat arch-rivals Tea Tree Gully after batting the first week. Tscharke top-scored with 44, Oldman.D a very handy 20 odd. Janetzki decimated TTG's upper order, claiming a match-winning 6/36.

It was 7 in a row, plus the precipitation-effected premiership at the end makes 8.. As for stocks, I dunno to be honest. A lot of lads went to school together in the area over the years. Word of mouth. mates getting mates to come out and play, and they stay coz it's a good place to play cricket. They even fully adopted a born & bred Port Adelaide boy into their Club, so they must be good blokes..

Although I was lucky not to be ousted after my first season during the premiership celebrations at The Maloney residence. Very, very annebriated at about midnight, I accidentally spilt my drink on skipper Tscharke's heavily pregnant wife, the lovely Cathy. Tscharks said, "Hey, don't you go damaging my wife!", to which I drunkenly slurred, "I don't think I can do any more damage to her than what you've already done!".. It's fair to say my humour wasn't fully appreciated back then.. haha!

Hey check this out.. Flicking thru some fishing pics, I stumbled across this little gem. My first year at the club and this is the premiership side that accounted easily for regular season bully-boys, Enfield, who were led by Marciniak, and included the likes of former District players Oxlade, Levy and a fit, young and very firey M.Briene.

In this team there are 10 Carnival players, 4 All-Australians, 3 state captains, 6 Club Captains and a number of Div 1 award winners (batting, bowling & fielding). It was the 2nd of the 8 in a row.

Word of mouth. mates getting mates to come out and play, and they stay coz it's a good place to play cricket. The Dollings were just as bad at times as Tsharkey was and yes all pests to get rid of too once they got set.

Is Jon McKenzie still playing. All i can remember from him is hearing him chirping 'No Idea' all day. Was great when it was his turn to bat and got out cheaply.
