Like I said, I wasn't there, I can only repeat what I've heard.

Having said that, you mentioned it is wrong?

Why is it wrong then? Is it against the rules?

Why?

s***t knows.

What happens from here, is there any precedent?

Well he better get his facts straight, it was moved 1 foot towards the road to save foot marks. Width was not changed at all. Curator has been doin it for nine years apparently. Yes its wrong but not a big deal in my opinion.

Ok Ralphy, here's what's apparently happened.

When I say the pitch was moved, it certainly was, maybe not the width of the pitch, but it was marked enough over for all last week's footmarks were in play for off spinner Tim Bevan, who mysteriously bowled 20 overs straight.

Yep, if the curator has been doing that for nine years, he's been doing the wrong thing.

Where in the rules does it say you can move the pitch over to save footmarks.

Bevan then claimed four crucial wickets for the outright.

Sure, might be coincidental.

Rules are rules for a reason though.

I don't think we'll pursue it much but that is besides the point.

SS is on the money there. I'm sure the pitch was not moved to advantage Waikerie as I know the curator is not that sort of character, but the fact remains that it is not within the rules of the game. The Association will certainly have to make some sort of ruling on it, so that all grounds men are clear on what their obligations are. Whether the outright is taken off them, I don't know. Probably not, but I'm sure it will be addressed.

Like the time when I was at Unley, when us and Walkerville both needed to win the last minor round game to jag a finals spot, and we turned up on day 2 to find a nicely dug hole right on a good length. Gold.

I reckon Mods can hit a ball too.

Did anyone hear the final decision on the Waikerie-Loxton game? If there was one I guess.

Berri made 218 against Waikerie yesterday. Was a fair recovery after being 5/52. Burnett made 66, Frankel 43, White 37. Kym Taylor 3 wickets and Kayser 2.

You'd be a relative BTDT?
I notice Tailem Bend on your teams.

Sorry, can't help you with how he's going. I think he made some runs early on in the season.

Loxton cracked 100 in the two dayers for the first time in three innings on the weekend against Monash :-bd

They batted about 70 overs for 147.

Had a couple of overs at Monash who finished up none for 6 of 7.

Gregoric picked up three wickets for the Maroons.

Modra one of the biggest hitters i've seen. Played against him when he was at Encounter Bay in the great Southern league. saw him flick a ball off his legs that was still rising when it went over the lightpost. Can bowl a bit to! and take a hanger of course!
