SS - no idea. How can you measure their brittleness, when they've only been tested twice? Lost one and snuck home against Uris.
I have seen games which they only really broke open in the second half.
For mine, Lofty both grades. But I won't fall over with surprise if Uris get home in A's, should be close. No-one else near them.
B grade, Lofty's biggest test may be Mt Barker from what I heard from their last game. But if Madsen gets enough ball, he'll kick enough to win a flag.

winger. I hope you're right about young players. I have heard a 1/2 dozen are real dark on what is happening and how can you explain selection process. Didn't one bloke get a game in the A's last week after being seen for the second time fore the year. Please explain. Good mail also on the cocokroach asking who wanted to qualify for B's finals.

ah no idea about the guy who got the game in the a's. as far as i know all people selected had been there all year. and as for the young players i hear theres a few being left out of the b grade who are a little annoyed due to the large number up for selection in the B's. the a's kids are in for the long haul.
hope that clears stuff up

keep the rumours coming its gold!

Winger ... from my knowledge, I doubt if there would be any players wishing to move on from Mt Lofty, even if they do take the ultimate honors. All the so called 'imports' seem to luv the place, several even involved in coaching in the modifieds. There is a settled environment both on and off the field, so why would they want to move? May be just some envious rivals trying to unsettle the focus on the lead up to the finals. I believe there are a few other clubs which are probably in the midst of facing a player drain, particularly if things don't change.
As for stacking the B-grade, shouldn't it be the senior coaches priority to field his best available side each match ... who wants the honor of coaching a wooden spoon on their CV ... just seems a little bemusing

BM You appear to be right on the money. Its a long way back from the bottom. Who you talking about when you mention player drain. 1/2 a story worse than no story.

Winger I think SS was referring to a player who was selected on a Thursday night but ended up not playing as he was away on a skiing holiday. I think he is the same player who had to look up where the club was in his UBD as he was selected earlier in the season but had not attended any practice sessions. I would have thought you would know this, don't you play there ?

Ball Magnet, you bemused I find that hard to believe.

Any truth in the rumour the hills president has changed his name to Owen Trezinski, in honour of his favourite hills footballer. It will bring a tear to his eye when he has to award him his mail medal this year!

SS .. May be player drain starting already .. one particular club in line for finals reportedly had around 10 players on the track on Tuesday, not good, may be a few old hands ready to call it quits after a successful run?
Indian ... Trigger may well be in line, but could a few other Devils take votes? Burch, Cutting, Wait, Gordon have all been good, and doesn't Owen like them too?
As for medal ... Damien King, Chris Shee and Pucka Richards have all had steady years and may have picked up votes. May be someone in a bottom side might pop up, didn't Ironbank supply a medallist two seasons ago? ... possibly a few this year might have been under consistent notice ... e.g. Exelby, Wendleborn, Williams, Chris Thomas ... whether they pick enough second preferences to counter best on ground votes going to winning side is debatable

Trigger for the medal. What happened to Muirden from Ironbank? I thought he was the big tip in that league.

Trigger for medal as well.
No-one from the bottom teams will poll anywhere near enough, as they've been way off the pace as teams.
Exelby may be the exception.

My tip for the medal from what Ive seen would have to be either Matt Thomas Proven vote getter (won the medal in 1999) and i remember in the 2002 grand final versus lobethal Thomas running around saying "Just put it in my vacinity, gimme a chance, I'll give you a contest!" and umpires notice that stuff. Or a former AFL player in Sudjai Cook, umpirez are madly in love with former AFL/SANFL players

I think Ledge King is a great chance, with not many threats coming from his team to steal his votes.

yeh thats the problem with picking a mail medalist. umpires often have a weird view on the game. almost have pre-conceived ideas on who will get votes before a game starts. the better question is who will win each clubs B+F's. but maybe thats for another day.

Has Nash Stark been getting a kick for loeby's this year?? More importantly, has his sexy sister been giving the crowds something to look at??

Ball magnet, my spies tell me you will be driving the Lofty Band wagon through-out the finals series, make sure you swing past town to pick me up. I wanna get on board

trigger may go close, but for me I reckon wood from lofty will beat him. Too right forum about lofty grabbing votes from each other so I am picking wood to just win with King close behind. With richards, exelby a darky, dave or luke murphy won't win it but will both poll votes and anderson may also poll votes as he polled well last year I didn't have a cracker season.
How good is footy!

From what I've seen and what's been said on here, Cook will be nowhere to be seen. Might as well give it to Ormond Allen.

Burch from Lofty for me, I think it will defintely be a loftian, but there's just too much class to pick from in that team.

personally i dont think anyone from lofty can win it because of there being too many class acts stealing votes...white, wood, trigger, burch, matty stapes, mehta, gordon, cutting, and wait................the winner is much more likely to be someone like ledge king or maybe a mt barker player also scott wendelbourne from ironbank can play
